Good morning. Just finished breakfast and now doing more laundry. Besides washing sheets on both beds yesterday, I mowed the front and sides and 1/3 of the back. I was going to finish but my mower wouldn’t crank. It does that sometimes and I’m sure it will crank today so I can finish. The heat index was over 100 yesterday and I was out there all day and it almost killed me. The grass was so tall it would bend and not cut so I kept having to go over it. And of course it rained.

Thought I saw in Snails you had an iPhone, or I misunderstood, or I confuzed yours with another persons, or I made a silly azzumption! Run with the latter.

But I never said I have an iPhone. My phone is actually a Samsung. Most apps I have no interest in.
Samsung it is then. Have the kidz show ya the apps, they'll have you app crazed, or likely crazy, in a jiff !!! :w00t:

Yep!

Is that the one in two point type? ;)
IDK. But, I can zoom in and make it BIG.

It is 1176 pages, but like I said the majority of that covers all the included apps. Apple includes a good amount of apps with their iPhone's, iPad's, laptops and desktops.

The section on the phone itself is pretty small.

The section on GarageBand (music makin' app) is giiinormous!!! :w00t: But I already knew that app.

GarageBand is a baby muzic making app similar to it's much bigger brother Logic. I have several pro music applications running on my desktops (Ableton, ProTools, iZotope, NI etc etc). And several terabytes of samples, sound effects and banks of synth sounds.

We were at the concert and I was making some videos on my phone. My son looks over says you are not recording and pressed the button for me. And I’m not a dummy, but I rarely use the video on my phone. I told him he needs to show me some things. I always tell people my son is a lot smarter than me.

No kids. Found the apps just fine. Just have no interest in most.

    Sweeteners... hmmm...

I rarely use sweeteners. IMHO, the majority of mixes can be made as sweet as one desires using flavors alone.

Having said that... I do have several sweeteners. And do use them from time to time... where applicable and where it makes sense.

Some sweeteners are more sweet than others.

I am not anti sweetener at all.

It just... all depends... on what the mix is and what flavors are being used and the desired outcome a mixer has in mind.

There are times when a mix is lacking that 'special' something (not a flavor). It's right ...there... where a sweetener can come in handy in helping to bring a mix together. Without adding sweetness!!! Certainly never more than 0.5% in a mix (usually less), IMHO.

IMHO, and in the opinions of other mixers (some well known, others less so) if a mix requires more than 0.5% of a sweetener then the person should start over with their mix. IOW, the flavors (and percents) they're using are totally messed up.

But... some people love their sweeteners and enjoy using LOTS. Whatever works, ummm, works. :w00t:

Another excellent example for where sweeteners are regularly used is in smoothing out rough edges that certain flavors can impart. Sweeteners do an excellent job with whacking down rough edges.

I've used up to 0.5% in a few different mixes and there was zero change in the overall level of sweetness. And... I wasn't looking to make my mixes sweeter.

Adding a single drop to 0.15% or 0.25% or even 0.5% - - - will not - - - create a mix that is sweet (unless one is already using sweet flavors).

Sweeteners have a place in the DIY kit. They are simply another tool. One that honestly shouldn't be dismissed. Knowing how and when to use them is the Key. :)

My long two cents, and all that jazz, take it with a grain of salt.

    Good morning :w00t:

Carli dog and I went down to Lake Michigan for a good swim earlier. We then played frisbee and ran around in the sand. Then, we plonked down on a blanket and laid around before doing it all again. Was great fun.

Cut the grass in the backyard, it started drizzling 1/2 way through, I managed to get it all done. I also got a few RDA's and RTA's rewicked. Some housecleaning. Dishes. All fun stuff!

And now, I'm enjoying my first cup of coffee and first vape of the day while catching up here. :thumb:

Ooops!!! So I shouldn't be posting recipes yet??? Or at least until your blog is 'new and improved'??? I hate the thought of creating extra work for you.

As an alternative to your doing double work on your computer and then here have you thought about using the new Bookmarks feature???
Thanks, SMT, but I keep a copy of the blog on my computer, with all the links visible, just in case there's a disaster like the one that you, Tor, RJ, and hittman helped me weather last year. I wanted something offline as a backup. It's okay for you and everyone else to post recipes here because I add them to my computer copy regardless. I'll just go back and copy everything new into the blog when I figure out how I want to break it up and feel functional enough to do it without screwing something up.

    Try: https://tinyurl.com/app
or other such sites, will vastly shorten any URL you make. IDK if ECF filters them out or not though. Haven't tried it, let's give it a go:
That's a good idea. I doubt if I'll have the gumption to go back and redo all the existing links, but maybe I'll go this route from here on out. It does add an extra step, though, and that might be enough to put me off. On va voir.

Back when we used to see many concerts I had a very nice rig for recording shows. External mics and a portable DAT recorder (digital audio tape). I managed to get some excellent recordings and some that were lousy. There were some shows where I was able to plug into the FOH mixing console, with permission, and got the main mix off the board.

I kept the good recordings. They're somewhere in my studio.

Saw your earlier post about The Eagles. I have one from an Eagles concert (6/29/80) at Alpine Valley Music Theatre that is excellent!!! BTW, tickets were a whopping $11.00. The FOH mixer patched my rig into his mixing console. Someone I gave a copy of that to, don't know who, shared that online some years ago. It's likely still online somewhere in FLAC (lossless) format.

Speaking of ticket prices. My ticket to see Pink Floyd June 22, 1975 was $7.50. They were playing the entirety of Dark Side of the Moon on that tour.

I saved all my ticket stubs from my first concert in '74 on. It's fun to look through those every now and then.

I haven't been to a concert in many years. Ticket prices are too high for my liking. The costs for a touring band these days are very expensive. Especially for the larger big name tours.

I haven’t seen a concert in years. If I went to a concert for bands I like now then everyone would think I was out of place. I’m a bit old for those crowds.

As far as sweetener goes, I use it some and agree that a little goes a long way. Sometimes it’s needed to make flavors pop.

Concert tickets used to be really cheap !
When I was in high school I think we went to every concert there was to go to !
Probably why my hearing stinks !
