Morning, mixers.

Yep, temps still over normal, but finally heading in the right direction. Rumors of rain increase, but we'll see.

And, if their other guesses are correct, this might be the last day of wildfire smoke, which has been filling the air for nearly a week. (No fires near us, just smoke from afar.) So despite nice working temps, not much has been done outside.

Oh my the cold front actually came through. We have a delightful 68° bright Skies Breezy winds and just a gorgeous looking day. So - Hope to change my lazy b u t t mood this morning, especially after yesterday's emotional fiascos at Dialysis and the meeting with my Dr. . . . Depending on the options I choose - We'll see what happens next . . . Anyway, hope everyone has a good day .. . Just Sayin' . . .

I never tire of watching the HP movies or reading the books. We watched both Marvel Dr. Strange movies last night.
I can't 100% behind that with the movies, but it's not like I won't watch them again :p The books on the other hand i read through them probably once a year. Even though the author turned out to be a bigot, her books will always have a special place for me. What's the saying? Never meet your heroes? I wish famous people and celebrities would keep their opinions and views to themselves. I had never quite liked reading until Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone opened up the wide world of literature to me. I read the British versions though. I am always on any given day reading at least one book, usually several.

Wow that would be sensory overload to me to watch both, but we both really enjoy those movies. Seeing the first Dr Strange in an Imax theater was amazing!

Speaking of reading, what is everyone reading, if at all? Currently for me:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire :p
Star Wars Dark Force Rising (Thrawn trilogy)
Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms
I have always been an avid reader. Love getting intentionally lost in books.

And I just finished reading the Harry Potter books for the umpteenth time.

Currently I'm reading...
Awaking of the Heart by Thich Nhat Hanh
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (another one I've read several times)
Art of War by Sun Tzu (not exactly a book about war)
Napalm & Silly Putty by George Carlin
"s, p, f, c, cs, mf and t's... and t's don't even belong on the list"

I miss George, immensely. Would love to hear what he would have to say about 'things' currently. Knowing all of his work and seeing him a few times... I pretty much know already.

She should have kept her extremely bigoted thoughts to herself. I have absolute zero tolerance for bigots, racists and other things those of an imbecilic nature show no acceptance or tolerance for. [...]

I bet Dr Strange was excellent in an Imax theater. We watched the first movie a few years ago. All thought it best to see it again before watching the new one.

Hopefully you can get caught up before the boss gets back.
He's back tomorrow. Not a big deal if I'm not caught up when he gets back. It was no fault of mine that they asked me to come out front to work on computers yesterday.

I used to read pretty regularly but all I've been reading lately are schematics in technical manuals at work and user manuals for all the review samples I've been getting.

Guess it's a day of all reading. Power has been out since the morning, and not coming back on until tonight at earliest. No power, no heat on a day in the 30s. Giving me flashbacks of being marooned and stuck on padre island with no power no heat no water no food for days.

I hope they get your power on back soon. Over here it's been in the 30s all day.

Yeah, welcome to the new normal... although temps here are dropping, still a bit over "normal", and still no rain. :(

Carp. Hope the gunslinger wasn't sent there to just close the place down... uh, got your resume updated?

I'm holding out on applying. Most rehab places are the same. Exploit the workers and make sure one cannot give the proper care. I despise nursing but I need to work for 6 more years.

Good luck. That sounds like a horrible situation you’ve been left with.
Thanks. I am being cautious right now. I only signed up for one third shift next week to check out the environment. I really need to work but..
That’s awful. I hope you can find something that works for you.
I'm going to hang low for awhile. I don't like job hopping but corporate take overs are hard.
