Just spent the last 3+ hours working on my brother in law’s Explorer. What a PITA! The brake switch wasn’t the problem so had to take apart the steering column to get to the shifter solenoid. We finally got it. My daughter works the next two days and it’s been intermittently not shifting out of park.

Hi, random folks! I'm back home after a largely uneventful drive home, the only incident being my mom's getting lost on the way to the dropoff site for the rental car. It's the first time I've ever used Turo, and that was a positive experience. The car was as nice as a traditional rental and much cheaper, 2 days for $140 dollars, including the insurance. It was a 2022 Kia Rio. Now I prepare for surgery on Friday. 2 Hibicleans showers tomorrow and another Friday morning, and of course nothing to eat or drink after midnight tomorrow.

Me too. If it had been my car, I would have paid to have it fixed. He's still going to have to buy a solenoid for it but it's drivable for now.

First of three showers taken. Hibiclens doesn't lather up that well so it's hard to feel clean after using it. I'm still nicotine free, although not vape free. I figure that if I can get to 3-4 days post op without a seroma or wound infection, then I'm home free.

Thanks, y'all. For some reason, I'm starting to get nervous. I usually don't get nervous before surgery. It's unclear whether or not I have to spend a night in the hospital. During my visits with the surgeon, it was indicated that this was a day procedure, but the pre op instructions say that I'll be spending the night in the hospital. I guess that's one of the questions I'll have to ask tomorrow. I'll be bringing my tablet, but if I have to stay the night, I don't know if I'll be able to check in here tomorrow.
