Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans today?

Well let's see certain priorities took over last week or 2 and i just didn't get the time to do everything I really needed or wanted to do, especially posting and providing updates. So the plans for today are very simple. Got to go grocery shopping, get the apartment cleaned, and more importantly clean out, change coils, and get vape equipment in order. Then hopefully this week I can get out a review of one of the pieces of equipment that I got ( I'm not as proficient as "hittman" - maybe 1 or 2 reviews every few weeks for me, none if I don't like it at all or think it deserves a review). Anyway, that my plans for the day . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Also... I have a number of mixes where I'll take 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 of one and top off with another mix I know will work. For example... 1/2 of a bakery mix with 1/2 of a fruit mix, or 3/4 of a caramel (or butterscotch) paired with a bakery mix... on and on... the options are endless.

And... that's why I mix many base flavors only, IMO one can never have too many simple base mixes... as I know those will work with numerous other mixes.

I love having several juices at the ready for... optional mixes using those.

And as a lover of vanillas and creams... I always have several different mixes to choose from (currently 9). Vanillas/creams work with...... well, everything.

I do have two extremely simple mixes to share. Usually don't post 2 flavor mixes but these two totally taste like more than two flavors (and well, there is  ). WF did a splendid job in creating S'mores Cupcake and Nanaimo Bars.

S'mores
WF S'mores Cupcake 2.5%
WF Marshmallow (Gooey) 0.8%

--AND--

Nanaimo
WF Namaimo Bars 2%
WF Vanilla Cream Extra 0.7%

Those are two I always have mixed.

In my experience, some mixes do not require more than 2 concentrates in order to be full of flavor and very rich tasting.

WF S'mores and Nanaimo are two favorites of mine. IMO, each is good enough to be vaped on it's own. Flavor-wise each has several individual flavors that are easily recognized. WF could sell each as one shots. But add one more complimentary flavor... and each totally comes to life.

Don't know what I can say about Nanaimo or S'mores that I haven't said previously in the thread.

I like the Nanaimo flavor. I’ll have to get that mixed with a cream.

Also... The following mix is loosely based on a recipe Hitt posted a while back.

    Chocolate Coffee Cookie
    VTA Chocolate Mousse 1.25%
    VTA Dark Chocolate 0.75%
    SSA Shortbread Cookie 1%
    Cap Cake Batter 0.75%
    WF Vanilla Cream Extra 1.5%
    SSA Mocca Coffee 0.5%

Suggested steep time = 3-4 weeks.

SSA Mocca Coffee is a very highly concentrated flavor. At 0.5% the coffee makes its presence well known. It's an excellent tasting coffee.

My cookie base is the shortbread and cake batter.

The two chocolates combined with WF VCE deliver a chocolate that's very smooth tasting. WF VCE also helps to tone down VTA DC.

My DIY intuition (it's a thing  ) told me the recipe Hitt found was going to be a dry mix. Adding CAP CB and WF VCE made mine a mix that is not dry.

The next time I mix this... SSA MC will be reduced to 0.25% for less of a coffee note.

Hello. Long time no see. Lots going on with me including getting my son ready to graduate in less than a month and all that entails, very busy at work, my Dad having bad reactions to some meds and going to the doctor with him, and now the holidays and lots more. I managed to get the house decorated for Christmas but I still have to do the big tree. UGH!

My home desktop crashed the other day. It is almost 9 years old so it lasted a long time. We opened it up and tried to fix it but it's shot. I saw lots of moisture and it has to be from vaping although I blow all vape into a fan that blows it out of the room. Obviously not all of it. Oh well...live and learn. If you vape high vg be careful! I thought I lost some pics I downloaded from my phone recently but luckily we have google phones and all of my photos are saved automatically. WHEW! I think most of my older pics are on a thumb drive. However, I did not backup my vape spreadsheet. My son says we can remove the hard drive and buy some gadget from amazon that allows you to pull all info from the hard drive. Does anyone know anything about that? I need the vape spreadsheet and I want to make sure I have all the photos.

    Learn from me...backup your files!

Now that I think about it I wonder if I saved the vape spreadsheet on my thumb drive as well. I'll look later as I'm using a small company-provided Surface computer and it's just small and weird.

    Happy vaping!

Nanaimo rocks!!! :headbang: I like the chocolate they used in it as well as the other flavors they added to create the nanaimo profile. Whatever those are, they are not easily identified.

Fran, do you have WF S'mores Cupcake?

The chocolate they use in s'mores is excellent. The cupcake note is light, but I've easily fixed that in my experiments by adding a cake or cupcake flavor. It has a light marshmallow note, one I like to boost with WF MG. There is another flavor note in S'mores that I've yet to identify.

I've also added a little VTA Chocolate Mousse (0.5% - 0.75%) to S'mores for a boosted chocolate note.

Do yourself a favor... and buy SSD drives for your computer. Unlike traditional hard drives there are no moving parts whatsoever. SSD drives are very large capacity memory chips. They are sized the same as any old fashioned mechanical hard drive. The prices have come WAY down on SSD drives in the last few years.

I have a somewhat similar mix that may have been based on Hitt’s recipe.

Never got that cupcake cause it sounded to sweet. I have others though.

Is that the same as external hard drives? Since I mainly use my personal computer at home for work, I am asking for a better setup than this Surface. Lots of my coworkers have take-home equipment better than this. As long as I'm working, I'll just use work equipment from now on. So I'm not in the market for any new computer at this time. But I'll keep the SSD in mind. My main goal is to get everything off my old hard drive. I have lots of IT friends at work so I'll be asking for their assistance if my son and I can't figure it out. I should have never been using personal equipment for work. Thanks for your help.

Another mix I've been enjoying lately is a combination using two of my mixes. It's a Peach Yogurt and it is very tasty.

    Peach Profile
    FA Peach 1%
    FA White Peach 0.5%
    FA Pear 0.5%

Note: When used at 0.5% FA Pear adds a creamy sweetness to peach flavors. It also dampens any astringency from peach flavors. Think of it more as an 'additive' when used in this way. Also, at 0.5% no pear flavor will be detected whatsoever.

I like mixing fruit and fruit combinations on their own. That gives me many options when I then add a fruit profile or fruit combo to another mix such as a bakery base for example.

-- And I then used my Vanilla Yogurt mix (previously posted). --

Vanilla Yogurt (see Zazie's blog for detailed notes)
    FW Yogurt 2.5%
WF Frozen Yogurt 1.5% ---> it is NOT a yogurt flavor / it IS a cream flavor
    WF Crumble Topping 0.6%
    SSA Borneo Vanilla 1%
    INW Shisha Vanilla 1%

Each of the above are separate mixes. What I do is add one to the other in a 10ml bottle. For the mix I'm vaping now, I added 1/2 of each. The peach profile makes itself known as does the yogurt.

The beauty of mixing like this is you can tailor a mix to lean in whatever direction is desired. If I wanted more peach, then perhaps 3/4 peach profile and 1/4 vanilla yogurt (ect).

It's stupidly simple, yet it yields excellent results.

My vanilla yogurt works with every fruit mix I've tried it with. It makes an excellent yogurt base for any fruits.

My peach profile mix also works well when adding one of the many cream flavors. The percent for the cream varies and depends on which cream is used. Peaches and Cream, simple and easy, yet very flavorful. I also like my peaches profile with one of a few IC bases I have.

    @Territoo How are you doing?

I'm doing as well as can be expected. I'm sore but the pain pills help with that. I'm currently waiting to see the doctor for a post op visit. I'm hoping he pulls the drains today.

All the manufacturers make both external and internal SSD's. So yeah, you can purchase an external if that's what you want for storing your data (photos, videos, spreadsheets etc). You can also get one to install internally in any personal computer as either the main drive (OS plus data) or for data only.

The IT folks at your work place can assist you with any SSD drive purchased.

I have a few external SSD's used for backups. Also have personal computers with SSD's installed as the main drive.

I always advise people to employ external drives for backing up their data. Some take it to another level. Where they will buy a couple drives and use them to rotate backups. They will store one drive at an external site (like your work for example). Each week (or two) they rotate drives. That way if they lose the main drive in their computer they have at least one known good copy on an external. Then it's a very simple task to restore the data on their computer.

Many use backup software for daily backups of their computer(s). That's what I have been doing for years.

Ask your IT folks about SSD drives. The current preference for drives is SSD. They will last longer than any mechanical hard drive.

FWIW, I wouldn't call it a sweet flavor per se. IMO sweetness-wise it sits at about a 5 maybe a 6, tops. It can be made sweet (LOL). Like you, I'm not a fan of sweet flavors or mixes.

Yep, they're around, generally pretty inexpensive, and effectively turn any drive into a USB drive, so you can access the one from the dead computer (as long is it wasn't the drive that died!) to get your data. They usually come with the necessary cables and such to both connect and power what used to be an internal drive.

    Something like this:

Just the first one to pop up :) Search term "usb drive adapter"
