Was it her a nal glands that were causing the problem? We went to the vet today and it pretty much went as expected. They had to er, do some "cleaning out" of the rear end but no x-rays or blood work so we dodged a bullet there. She seems better now. Paid $177 to the vet's place, could've been much worse. Still upset that the people who gave us the dog KNEW about her condition and still gave her to us without doing anything.
We got a Pomeranian 12 years ago, maybe a Skipperkee because he's big for a Pomeranian. He was taken into the vet with all 4 bones in his forearms broken and they wanted him put down. The vet was a friend and he called us, said he would take care of the medical stuff for free if we took him. Turned out the damage to the bones was too severe and the surgery didn't work. We spent 3K taking him to a specialist in a neighboring town who managed to fix his legs. 12 years later he's still going strong.Totally agree Mate!!!
To be Brutally Honest . . . . . . In the USA a good amount of people Should Never be allowed to have an animal of Any Kind. They are completely clueless about animal ownership. I've zero respect for those types of people. None whatsoever.
People who get animal after animal and thenreturndiscard them like they're some defective item of clothing, again being 100% honest and truthful, are completely deplorable. It is disgusting. There are ZERO excuses for that. None!!! <<< other than very weak and lame ones >>>
My wife, a professional who worked with all kinds of animals her whole life saw and dealt with many such owners. Over decades I heard every possible imbecilic story imaginable. At some point it should be made Crystal Clear to certain folks that owning a pet is Not For Them.
Never have we "returned" a canine. High quality breeding - - - we have many high quality breeders but here in the USA high quality breeding is lacking. There are too many "backyard" breeders who should never be in the animal business. Those are two reasons why there are so many "rescue animals" in the USA. Puppy mills are a major problem. Those "feed" the rescue shelters and humane societies all across the country. It's big business ($$$) and very shady.
Shutting down low quality breeders and puppy mills would solve much of the problem. Forcing people to take mandatory classes on animal ownership, before they're ever allowed an animal, would weed out the many who should never own an animal.
ETA: I could go on with Much more AND many Indisputable Facts, but I won't.![]()
Yes, we'll that and maybe some constipation. Was it her a nal glands that were causing the problem?
Or was it her Sheneneh glands? Was it her a nal glands that were causing the problem?
Ha, just as I suspected when you first mentioned her behavior.Yes, we'll that and maybe some constipation.
Hope you get it fast.I swear I’m cursed. I bought a new ceiling fan for our bedroom but needed a matching 12 inch downrod so ordered one from Home Depot. I get home and there’s an empty brown envelope from them with a hole in the side. I am getting a refund and had to reorder it. I really wanted to get it installed this weekend but that’s not going to happen now.
Be careful.Good morning. Only 15 this morning and I’m guessing it’s still a little slick out in spots. Guess I better leave early again. At least it’s supposed to be above freezing later.
