Hope everyone had a nice weekend. No mixing for me this weekend but I did add a third case for the flavor concentrates. Then I had to reorganize everything AGAIN! So for now - no more flavors unless I’m restocking. I refuse to get a 4th case and reorganize once again lol!
3 cases, rookie. hahahaha. I started counting mine the other days and gave up

Famous last words. I’m getting close to needing a fifth case. I’ve got two of the polish cases and two stack on cases.

It appears I have joined the ranks of the poor and destitute. Since I'm not eligible for SS myself I've been informed my SS payment will be a whooping $667. That's bad but I do have options and I'm ok for now so I have the time to think about said options. I missed my chance to go out and check my nic on a warmer day so I'm going to bundle up and go out and do it today. Think I'm also going to pull the trigger on my fun flavor order.

Order has been placed. Life has been to "busy" for me lately. I've been used to calmer and quieter for years. Need to calm down my busy mind and do some sft's. Also need to try the ones I have been ignoring............

At some point soon I'll have to get a couple more cases, possibly 3 to hold all my flavors. The cases I've done so far are by flavor type,Chocolate, creams etc. Does anyone sort differently? Of course I'll probably have to do the cases I have over again to accommodate my new flavors plus others I haven't put away yet.

So far I have my stack on cases sorted by manufacturer with a map of the case listing flavors in each section since I can’t read the labels. The thread cases have each side organized alphabetically by flavor rather than manufacturer and a list on top. That works well for me since the case is clear and I can read it through the top.

You are that organised? I'm impressed.

I’m so disorganized that I don’t have a sorting method, lol. I was going to get cases and was thinking about sorting by flavor brand.
I sort mine that way. Well at least that's how I started out a long time ago. It does help if you want to check to see if you already have a flavoring before you re-order one you already have. LOL

Sorting by flavor type has worked for me and I'll probably stick with that. I have written down what's in each category but still have to look for the one I'm after. I think I'll use Hitt's method of a map for each case which should eliminate sorting.

I rather surprised myself. I got sick of digging through four cases and a couple boxes in order to find a flavor for a recipe. I've still got some work to do but it's much better than it was. To be honest, it was talk on this thread that got me motivated to try to get a little better organized. Each side of my clear cases is organized alphabetically individually. I did it that way so I don't have to reorganize both sides of the case to add a few flavors. The next step is to make a master list of all of the cases and number them. Right now I've got a good feel for what's in each case but it would be better to have it down on paper.

I sort by flavor type, then by manufacturers within each category. For me, it’s easier to see if there’s a flavor substitute that way. But, I only have @175, so I’m a little more “inventive” when I have to sub.

Speaking on how I arrange my flavors. I use the zip lock one quart bags — the ones with the zipper and the ones that pinch close if it is just a few flavors. I put all the little pinch bags into a one gallon zipper bag so I don’t have to hunt them down. I have them broken down by brand and in the case of FA then broken down into alpha range zip bags — A-B, C, Kitchen, etc. For the other brands they each have one quart zipper bag or the small pinch style. I use a black marker pen since it is very visible to indicate on the zip bag what brand is inside the bag other than FA I indicate the alpha range. All the FA zip bags are in one box and the other brands in another. The reason I have so many FA is because when I first started mixing I mixed a lot of HIC’s recipes.

Then I have other zipper bags by recipe. For example I have a bag that has all the flavors for making macarons and another for making tobaccos so I don’t need to look through the brand bags. Recently Fizzy Lemon Sherbert was promoted and got its own bag. I put these in a small Starbucks bag.

I do have a spreadsheet in alpha order by brand plus some other information so I have a good idea of what I should have. It is not 100% accurate but close enough because sometimes I forget to update it with additions and deletions. There are those days I feel like a bag lady. May sound confusing but it works for me due to my limited space plus no dedicated mixing station. When I mix I usually make anywhere from four to seven recipes because of this.

The vape gear/hardware well that is more of a mess. I did manage to thin it out a little last year. Visited a friend in Corpus and gave her what I do not use — tanks and mods. Then late last year I sold some gear too.

This is my story and I am sticking to it as it works for me.
