It's 50 degrees with a high predicted of 72. 96% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, I hope not severe. I guess the guessers couldn't bring themselves to go with 100%. Gotta leave themselves a little wiggle room.
We don't have any snow in our forecast but it's certainly cold enough. 38 at present with an overnight temp of 20.

And, actually, even now. The last few times I've been down here they've consistently set high temp records! So only "average" is about 10 below that.
At AT&T I had a coworker who initially started out her college education studying to become a meteorologist. She said the math and physics were very difficult. Because of that she switched to computer science. Yep, there's a good amount of math there too!!!
I've always said, a meteorologist has a great gig. It's one of the only jobs I know of where you can be wrong much of the time - - - and still have a job.
