Thank you, SMT, a couple of different ways to get there!Simply Cake isn't a very strong cake flavor. It is a good cake but IMHO it needs the help of another cake.
Cool!!!
Looking at the cake photo, IMHO the apple should be tasted more out front. The cake should be tasted as "a cake" but sit behind the apple. Followed by the caramel. Correct me if I am missing something but those are the main flavors, no??? And then the rest. Right???
Maybe try it without FW Salted Caramel??? It's a fairly potent caramel flavor that can get weird over 0.75% - 1% (depending!). I use it in a few of my butterscotch/caramel bases.
Okay, here is how I would make it:
PUR Simply Cake 3%
FW White Cake 1.5%
FLV Apple Filling 1.5%
WF Caramel Butter 1%
or this:
PUR Country Apple 2%
FA Liquid Amber 0.25%
FW Yellow Cake 3%
WF Caramel Butter 1%
I would start with just the four flavors then tweak those until satisfied. Then one-by-one add one of the other flavors at a low percent (makes it easy to add more, if needed!), test and then add another. Wash, rinse, repeat as needed.
Just my thoughts!!!
The only other part would be the White Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.
Might it be better to keep it a simple buttercream instead of WC?
Or just skip that if it's too much going on in the mix?
