Goodnight. I’m very glad now that I took a vacation day tomorrow.
Wish I could do the same. I've been working from home since cataract surgery on the 9th. The weather has been great for taking a break in the afternoon for a walk in and my BP is down. Sadly, I have to go in tomorrow as its payroll. On the plus side, it will be a short week as the other eye is being done on Wed.

The weekend was busy, lots of cleaning and laundry. I managed to sneak in a walk, do some mixing, and bottle cleaning too. No wonder I'm tired!

Sweet dreams all!

It would've been okay if the whole winter had been properly crappily cold.
Talking of forsythia, have you ever moved one? When I built my deck 12 years ago there was one right where the main steps down from the deck were going to be. I looked it up online and it seemed quite straightforward.

Had to cut out half the main branches at the base, the older woodier ones. Sounds easy but the main branches have dozens of smaller branches which are tangled up with rest of bush that you don't want to remove so it took hours of snipping to get them out. The roots spread out quite a long way horizontally but not very deep, so you have to dig a trench around it even with the outer edge of the bush and cut the roots. Then you can dig it up and replant it. It took a whole day.

It worked out in the end but it was 5 years before it got bushed out and producing a healthy crop of flowers again. Might have been better to buy a new one.

Halfway through my first tank of mango. It's got a little more flavor now but still not much. Reckon when the tank is finished I'll add some more mango, maybe double what I used the first time.

I think my taste buds need a good hard kick to register fruit, but I have no trouble picking up flavors like cream or bakery. So if I use a normal recipe I can taste everything except the fruit.

    Morning, mixers.

Home from the trek. Nice ceremony, although outdoors on a high temp record day with no shade wasn't real comfy for us from the western side of the State!

Thankfully, they've decided to dial that back over here, and we'll be running below normal temps for most of the week. But no rain. :(
