It could be the wicking...a bit too little in the first one and a bit too much in the second. Try a rewick before tossing the coils.

Alright changed the wick again. Made a much looser one but not too loose. Still is incredibly bland. I can taste the same exact juice I'm trying to put in the tank when I drip it into my good tank, so it's not the juice. It could be that I just really have a preference for .3 ohm coils. I find that out of other ones I've used .3 seems to be the one I like the most every time. I'll keep that coil and try to get my hands on a .3 ohm coil and slap it in there. Right now tho im tired. Are the two tanks different models? If so then that could be the difference. Not all tanks produce great flavor.

Why?

It's an entirely different beast. A velouté is made of stock thickened with a roux (flour and butter cooked together). The sauce in the recipe you posted is just puréed steamed vegetables and liquid. Its texture would be completely different, and the absence of fat would make it lack a velouté's characteristic richness.

I've fooled with the first and the third. They are laughably inaccurate. It's kind of terrifying to think of people relying on them.

Actually those AI systems are pretty good, I’ve used them myself. They worry me a little but I think they’re mostly just winding us up. Here’s one I did recently.

I always secretly knew that I was the best poster on ECF, so I rented some time on an AI system to confirm this. I fed in a bunch of facts and told the system to read every post on ECF. This is what I got back.

Yep, could be you do just prefer the 0.3 Ω coils. While I vape the other end, mtl, low power, I (obviously, doh!) build to what I like, after trying various other builds. Find what works for YOU and standardize on that. (Heck, I even carry that through on testing new-to-me mixes, trying them out in my usual RTAs, since the topper can make a big difference. I don't care how it tastes in, say, a dripper, since I don't )
