Morning, mixers.

Yep, weather on repeat mode, although the temp does go up a tad each day.

Don't Olympic National Park and Mount Rainier pretty much create their own weather systems? Aren't you kind of in the middle of those two?
And systems coming off the Pacific?

Sort of. While we do like to poke fun at the weather guessers, the topography of western WA does pose a lot of problems. Mountains sticking up here and there. and, of course, the huge impact of the Sound itself. So, yes, it's often the case that the weather say, north of an obstruction is completely different from 5 miles to the south. So it's getting used to what locations the guess is for that are closest to us in outlying areas.

Yeah, also sort of, in between, although closer to the Mt. Rainier end. Foothills :)

Had to take a trip out to rural Indiana today. In the car, then indoors when we got there. The canadian air still got to me. On the way back a big storm arrived just as we hit Indianapolis. Major winds and rain so heavy it was hard to see the lane you were driving in. Trees were blowing down and half the traffic lights were out. Took a long time to make it home.

The smoke must have affected my lungs, I hardly touched the vape all day.

Hopefully the rain did some clearing of the air, at least for a bit!

The group I was in at IBM had a very irritating micromanaging boss. One day 12 of us walked into his bosses office, a vice president, and explained what had been going on ever since he promoted the guy to our manager. The VP listened, asked many questions and then thanked us for bringing everything to his attention.

Our boss was then called into the VP's office. Two hours later our boss was cleaning out his office. The VP told us the guy resigned. He was our boss for only 8 months. Someone from our group was then promoted to manager. That person turned out to be an excellent manager.

You have to love those Jimmy Stewart/Gary Cooper moments in life. They’re rare but they do happen occasionally.

Air’s bad here today. Not 413 AQI bad like last time, but about twice what Chicago is seeing today. Seems to be funneling down the Hudson Valley from the North. Hopefully we all get a clue soon and shape up.
Sorry to hear your air is bad. We've been lucky so far.

It was cloudy and 67 and no rain for a change. Sooo I went out on my deck to sit for a bit. I wasen't out there that long when the sun escaped the cloulds. Didn't take long to get too hot. It's still nice and cool in my new room and I haven't turned the fan on yet.

I’m trying to make myself work on a review but am struggling. We’ve been so short handed that I haven’t been getting a lunch uninterrupted. I had to take two calls today while on lunch. Sometimes I try to write while on lunch to get the reviews done quicker but haven’t been able to do that.
    Work comes first.

    Somewhere between here and there
Can the new company help with that?
Not really. They are basically an investment company and don’t have people to send us when we are temporarily short handed.

Just read an article in our local newspaper about the weather. Title was something like, You better get used to the smoke. The normal prime fire season in Canada hasn't even started yet, and as the temps get higher every year the fires will get worse. Now there's some kind of glitch in the national weather system which they didn't explain enough for me to understand. They expect us to swing between hot and smoky coming from the north, and even hotter and humid and stormy coming from the south. That's for the rest of this summer.

I've been putting off mowing because of smoke and pollen but it can't wait any longer. About to go out and get started.

I had to mix a little blackberry nik salt for my pods, I need my nik salt to get started in the A.M. I did a quick search for Damson Plum flavor without luck. We had 3 Damson Plum trees in our yard where I grew up and my mom would make preserves every year. I remember how good it was, oh well I do like blackberry.

There's alot of plum flavors out there. Maybe one would come close.

I've been mixing for about 5 years, some hits, some misses.
The one flavor I never liked was Acai by tfa, I now have a new winner, rum with honey flavor by ssa, worst I ever tried.
This surprised me, I have quite a few ssa flavors and like them.

    Good morning :)

It's been a while and I hope you're all well. I drastically changed my life by quitting my career of fishing and now I work for the post office. I've had a dramatic change and improvement in mental, emotional, and spiritual health. I absolutely love working for the PO and it's a solid foundation to be upon while I continue to improve my/our lives. I view it as a stepping stone toward my master plan, but "worst" case scenario is that stay with the post office.. which isn't a bad thing at all. The longer you work there, the better. There's tons of different roles and opportunities within the USPS. My master plan of landing a job as a software developer may very well end up with the post office. Fully remote, benefits, health insurance, union, etc.

And I'm sure you all know this, but just ICYMI, BCF has a sale :)

Hey Bro, great to see you!!!

Congrats on being a full-on land dweller and USPS'er - - - one stone closer to your ultimate goal.

I need to mix up something today and I think something strawberry might be in order..

Ultimate tease!!! They look delicious. From your garden??? Of course they are . . .

Tbh I wouldn't be sad if I never got on a boat or fished again, but not against it. It's relatively easy to get into the USPS, small offices not as easy. I applied at just the right moment. For letter carriers they would probably hire a traffic cone if it had a pulse, a clean 2 year driving record, and no crimes for last 5 years.

Yes from my garden! I've been getting about this amount every day for a while now

The absolute best and most realistic tasting plum vape I ever had was from Virgin Vapors. I heard through the grapevine that they used Medicine Flower (MF) flavors.

"Premium Flavor Line is a new addition to our products and will most closely match the old line in flavor and concentration. These flavors are made following the same highly concentrated format with very similar all-natural plant derived active constituents that were used in our original line. The base for this line is a bio-based PG which is derived from Vegetable Oil. These flavors are food grade and excellent for use in culinary, scent and cosmetic applications. Water and oil soluble, they are highly concentrated and do not contain any colorants, artificial preservatives, sugar, or calories and are wheat and gluten free."

MF flavors are higher priced, however they are ultra-ultra concentrates. You only need a few drops in a 30ml. I have several MF flavors but not the plum. They make super accurate flavors.
