@classwife there is a free option for listening to your favorite tunes. Spotify.

Spotify has millions of songs that you can stream. They let you create playlists of your favorite songs. There is a free version with ads (no different than FM radio) and also a paid version with no ads.

My younger brother loves it over all the other options.

Download the Spotify app (via the link below) to your phone, set it up and then stream through Bluetooth on your Rav 4's sound system.

And in case you need help: How to use Spotify via a Rav 4.

All this talk of CD players in cars.......... phooey

My 1995 Toyota Avalon XL still rocks a functioning cassette player.  I have a cassette with an audio jack that I plug my iPod into. Don't laugh, it works perfectly fine.
Our newer pickup truck has all the fancy gadgets, I just stream music from my phone through it's sound system.

The 97 Maxima I traded in had all the bells and whistles for the time too :)

LOLz, for the extremely technically challenged, the other option is to get a boom box with a CD player.

I’ve had Xm radio for about 11 years and like it. If you call in each year before it’s auto billed then they will give a better rate if you threaten to cancel. I pay about $80 a year.

I'll have to keep that in mind next spring. Sort of what happened to me, after a string of emails from them to "extend" my free 3 months. Yup, was about 2 1/2 months in when they offered me a decent rate.

I pretty much just stay on 2 radio stations anyway...just found it odd there is no CD player.
Not like I have a long drive to work...only 4.1 miles

Yup. We have local FM stations on the dial, and most of the time we're in range. Satellite not needed, except rarely, and other options do exist that are a lot cheaper :)

What kind of language is that ?

I barely use my phone - it's pretty much just an alarm clock.
I am just now after a couple of years able to answer a call without hanging up on people.
In other words...I don't know how to use it.

Uh, are you my wife? Although she has graduated to texts...
My 95 Avalon just rolled over to 85,000 miles. Toyota's last a good long time.

That they do. Was really a sad morning when I found the tree on my Scion - an under the hood Toyota. A 2008, only a bit over 100K miles, and figured it was good for another 100K or more. And, of course it didn't come close to a new car price, but my insurance did cough up almost half the Scion's purchase price when they totalled it out. (Hood, windshield, A-frame and cabin all got crushed... )

Just looked at some instructions for how to get music playing through the Rav 4 Infotainment system using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Takes a few minutes and BOOM, ya got music.

I can respond to a text but I have never originated one

I think she has done that. Once. :)

Definitly miss the vent wing, and the bench seat/3 on the tree

Agree on the wind wing, although as a vaper I don't have to flick my ashes out that way. But, uh, 4 on the floor beats 3 on the tree ;)
