Lol. I'd go in the time machine with you and we gotta take Fran
Sounds like a plan, I just need to find myself a DeLorean. The next best thing is Spotify or similar service. Every time on a road trip we put on 60s/70s mixes.

On the subject of rain..

Nice!!!

I mean something must be seriously wrong with a person if they do not like CCR.

No truer words my Man!!!

I pretty much love most all music from that Era. They just don't make great music anymore.

Agree and agree...... and one of these buggers too......

I prefer 80s music. Not that it was higher quality than the 60s, but it has more nostalgia to me. Although there were some good 70s artists, most of the music from that decade were rather bland. My mom listens to a 70s chanel on Sirius, and I believe they must be playing the worst of the decade.

If I could build a time machine, I'd go see all these great performances by these legends of the 60s and 70s. Imagine seeing Jimi Hendrix at his absolute pinnacle. He had it all, songwriting, lyrics, style, showmanship, and I don't know if you've heard but he was pretty good at guitar.

Okay, you love CCR, I feel silly even asking because I'm certain I already know your answer, how about The Band? I got to see them during their last tour during the summer of '76. It was a totally awesome concert.

I was very fortunate to have seen many of the greats. Pink Floyd in '75 and '77 rank among the favorite shows I've seen. In '75 they played all of DSOTM and in '77 they played all of WYWH + Animals.

Got to meet some over the years too. I'll never forget meeting Miles Davis in March of '87. After his concert my wife and I were escorted to his dressing room. My uncle, the concert promoter, made the arrangements with cordial blessings from Miles.

For nearly an hour the three of us talked about music, art, love and life. Miles was one of the most lovely human beings that I've ever met. Musically the man was a genius. He was fortunate to play with Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and John Coltrane to name but a few. As my wife and I were leaving his dressing room Miles handed me this......

He drew the sax because I played saxes/guitars/keyboards regionally in many different bands.

IMHO, the vast majority of music put out today just can't hold a candle to the Greats.

Honestly I haven't listened much to The Band, but I think I ought to give em a try. There are a few that I just haven't ever gotten in to, like The Grateful Dead. Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorites and was a fortunate son that my Dad brought me to a Roger Waters concert! All those jazz legends you just mentioned, yes! Wow what a great memento!!!! I'd like to take a time machine and go see Pink Floyd live at Pompeii where they play to no one but the ghosts. Coincidentally I'm wearing today the Roger Waters tour shirt. I remember watching a movie/doc on The Band and loving it, so I think I better check out their albums.

I bet that Roger Waters concert was awesome!!! I used to have many concert t-shirts. Kept most of them in mint condition too. Sold the last of those to some folks in Japan a few years back. Those folks are willing to pay crazy dollars for old t-shirts.

I saved the ticket stubs from just about every concert I ever saw. LOL, I have hundreds of them. The very first concert I saw was Frank Zappa in 1974. After that show I was totally hooked on Zappa and saw him every time he was in the area. Still regularly listen to his studio albums and live recordings. The man could flat out play the guitar!!!

If you liked that era of metal, you need to go see KISS. They are on their farewell tour.

One of my sons got to meet BB King back stage and asked him if he could touch Lucille. NOOOOOOPE!!!!
I didn’t get to meet them but saw BB King and Buddy Guy in concert at an outside amphitheater years ago. My wife was pregnant with our oldest daughter.

As far as the comments about there not being any good music now compared to the oldies, I say it’s just a matter of what you like. I like a lot of old music but listen to a lot of new music too. I grew up in the 80’s with hair metal and still like hard rock and metal. I think there are some very talented groups out there.

To be honest, farewell indeed. I didn't really like them at all. To each their own, however, and if you like them then there is nothing wrong with that! :) I would be willing to bet they have a highly entertaining show, I think that's what's best about them is their theatrics and entertainment.

I was never a KISS fan either.

okay, i just couldn't wait any longer to try WF Mousse Mango....... .......i usually test everything off the mix, it was buggin' me that i didn't with this

last night i did a 5ml SFT at 2%........ 2% because WF says MM is a SC flavor

dripping some now, between 16w and 24w it is pretty tasty, with the first hit i immediately recognized a pleasing creamy mousse, it is "right" there, front and center

the mango is nice and flavorful, but it is lightly flavored compared to the mousse, thinking that is exactly what WF wanted

i don't taste any bad, sharp or off-notes whatsoever

i can see using Mousse Mango "as is" when a light mango note is desired in a mix
i agree that it would do well with the help of another mango, if one wanted more of a mango note out front

now i will let this steep for a while to see how it develops, i am happy i tried it, i think it's a good flavor

oh @Daniel Forsyth........ you're up Mate!!!
    Alright here goes!!
I made myself up 4 little taste testers for the Mango Mousse. Yes 4 :w00t:
One SFT at 2%, one SFT at 3% and then I got a little funky and added more mango!
I made another with 2% mango mousse and 1% Island Mango plus the one more with 2% mango mousse and 1% FLV Sweet Mango!!
I found the single flavour mango mousse(both 2%&3%) had more of a creamy and slight vanilla taste to it with only a hint of mango flavour, they were still rather nice though and I did finish both them off.
The 2% with 1% Island did add quite a bit more of a mango taste, but still not enough! I was still getting more creamy and vanilla.
Then came the 1% Sweet Sweet Mango! This did give the mousse combo much much more a mango flavour and I could definitely taste mango coming over the top of any other flavours, but I think that I would increase the Sweet Mango to 1.5% to give it a lot more of a Mango Punch:thumb:

Next time you use Island Mango go 3%
