Talking about Meccano yesterday got me thinking. After some searching I found these two pieces I hadn't seen in years. When I moved to America I had to get rid of most of my stuff. Saved a couple of Meccano pieces for the memories. These are probably from the 50's.

I do like t-storms and lightning. Daily rain? No thanks. And certainly not like what you have there or what the PacNW used to see. IIRC you're originally from out that way? I used to fly to Seattle a lot for work. In my free time I enjoyed driving over to Snoqualmie Falls. I totally loved trekking down the trail and just sitting at the bottom of the falls for a good hour or two. It was so peaceful and relaxing.

That whole part of our country is just gorgeous. I spent some good quality time in Olympic National Park. To me, the place is magical. Also hiked around the lower parts of Mount Rainier National Park.

I would love to head back out that way again.
Yes, born in GA and spent most of my life in Tacoma WA. You are correct, the most beautiful place except maybe coastal Oregon. Tacoma rains were very gentle, not soak you to your undies kind of rain which was ok but I did get a little tired of it after 44 years. lol

Wasn't fun in 1980 when Mt St Helens blew her top.

And we know your "disappearances" are nothing to do with alien abductions, which just happen to be rather common in the NE, especially in the rural areas.

    alien-seleten.gif

I don't know why a far more advanced species would ever want to abduct not-so-intelligent humans who over thousands of years have proven they do not know how to live in harmony upon the Earth. I mean, surely aliens know Earth humans are, ummm, not the brightest or best species ever created in the Universe.

If I was an alien I would abduct something with actual intelligence. Like a dolphin or a whale. A hummingbird. Or the species who will never die off, the cockroach.

Oh wait...... fresh new thought ( ) perhaps aliens are responsible for climate change and are working to eliminate all humans from the planet so the Earth can restore her natural balance and order. Ya know, for the greater good and all that.

"So long and thanks for all the fish."

LOLz, don't mind me, I read a lot of SciFi.

Was living in Port Orchard then, and it woke me up. Thankfully, most of the ash went elsewhere.
We got it pretty bad. I had to travel to the eastern side a lot and that area and along the toutle river were gray.
Constantly bathing dogs and washing clothes as that stuff cut like glass.

okay, i just couldn't wait any longer to try WF Mousse Mango....... .......i usually test everything off the mix, it was buggin' me that i didn't with this

last night i did a 5ml SFT at 2%........ 2% because WF says MM is a SC flavor

dripping some now, between 16w and 24w it is pretty tasty, with the first hit i immediately recognized a pleasing creamy mousse, it is "right" there, front and center

the mango is nice and flavorful, but it is lightly flavored compared to the mousse, thinking that is exactly what WF wanted

i don't taste any bad, sharp or off-notes whatsoever

i can see using Mousse Mango "as is" when a light mango note is desired in a mix
i agree that it would do well with the help of another mango, if one wanted more of a mango note out front

now i will let this steep for a while to see how it develops, i am happy i tried it, i think it's a good flavor

oh @Daniel Forsyth........ you're up Mate!!!

Me? Would I ever do something like that?

Yes I would, and did. :w00t:

Not only did I wait for you to try it, I also had DD2 try it before I did. She would only say "it's good", didn't want to say anything else until I tried it.

    Soooooo........

I think WF Mousse Mango would be good in a mix with yogurt; also with one of the ice cream bases; maybe w/green tea; a mango pudding; one of the white cake flavors; in a milkshake; or with a lighter tasting cookie flavor - - - and probably with, or without, an additional mango. I'm sure there are more ideas.

I already know mango works well with any of the following: banana, strawberry, pineapple, coconut, papaya, orange, passion fruit.

Yes, that's where the winds took most of it. Lots of cars with special cylinder honing grit... whether or not they needed work!

I find the Mango in the mousse to be very light. I think what mango taste it has would get buried in whatever flavors you mixed with it. At least for me.

On the other hand if you mixed a little Island mango in it would be good with all things mentioned

    Just my opinion.

    For sure, Island Mango.

I was also thinking of using it with one, or both, of FLV Ripe Mango/FLV Sweet Mango.
