Or just link it up and play around? Yeah, the "help" page isn't much help. Nothing Chrome here.
I don't even have one. It's something I'm considering getting for my mother so she can cast videos on her Google Drive to her television.

I did a little more digging, and apparently multitasking only works when one is casting from Google-approved sites. You'd think Google Drive would be Google approved, but when I checked I couldn't find the icon that would indicate this. Perhaps it only shows up when one has set up Chromecast. Guess I'll find that out if my mother gets a Chromecast, because I'll be the one setthing it up.

I also did some digging. Searched for "Chromecast can I cast stream multiple tabs in browser" and "can I surf the net while using Chromecast". Yes and yes on both.

From what I understand...... once you have the Chromecast device setup and running on a network, you can then cast multiple streams to a TV, or different devices, from multiple tabs in a browser (using Chrome and/or Edge).

Also read somewhere that you can cast like four different streams to a single device (a TV for example). The actual number might be more, IDK for certain.

And....... once you are casting video to a device you can then browse any of your open tabs in a web browser without interruption to whatever video(s) you are casting.

Think of it like a smartphone, specifically an iPhone or an iPad..... with those I am able to stream video to a TV, or another Apple device, with no interruption while taking a phone call, surfing the web, texting or while using other apps. It just freakin' works flawlessly. At least it does on our iPhone's, iPad's and Mac's.

I don't use Windows or Android stuff ( ), soooooo, I do not know how well all that works in those worlds. From what I read, it doesn't seem all that difficult to setup Chromecast.

Based on what I read, and my understanding of what you want to do....... I would say "yes" it will work.

I’d rather move ten beds than go to Walmart.

LOL, I would rather unload a semi-truck full of beds than set foot in a Walmart.

Or go swimming with sharks in Fiji or somewhere in the Caribbean.

Or spend a night with your in-laws.
just teasin' ya

Did you by any chance make a note of the sites where you read this? I'd like to study them. I'm especially interested in this bit of your post: "Once you are casting video to a device you can then browse any of your open tabs in a web browser without interruption to whatever video(s) you are casting." I just entered your precise search terms and did not find confirmation of that in anything I checked (which I admit was not much, since I'm tired).

P.S. My mother is now changing her mind again. This is one of the reasons I'm tired.

    Somewhere between here and there
I’ve had the same Dewalt cordless drill for probably 8-10 years. I went to charge a battery yesterday and discovered it was bad so I looked to buy new batteries then I found out they quit making them and would have to buy adapters and new style batteries which gets a little pricey. I found a kit on amazon for about the same price that came with a drill, impact, two new batteries and a charger. The drill that I have at work uses the old style batteries and we have several so I’ll take the old drill and one battery to work to use instead of throwing it out.
