I got some training in the army as a Patriot missile system mechanic. After the army I went to college at night and got an associate degree in industrial electrical technology. Since then I’ve been certified through Miller Electric and passed the test to be a certified welding inspector. That was about 17 years ago. Next year is my second nine year renewal.
    That’s pretty cool.

7 years ago my GS was living in our garage getting stoned all day. He was working from time to time in fast food, getting fired regularly for bad attitude and no-shows. He was there for 2 years and I told him he needed to move on. Few days later he went out early and enlisted in the marines. Now he's a sergeant and manager of a repair and maintenance shop for fighter planes. He plans to leave after his second 5 years. Should get a pretty good job with all the skills he picked up.

Talking of my GS, he started vaping when he moved in because we didn't allow smoking. He used my old gear for a while then got an MVP and Nautilus. He made a bit of pocket money selling my home made juice to his buddies. When he enlisted he started using those tobacco wads you hold in your cheek, because everyone there was doing it. Later he got back into vaping with disposables called Lost Mary. He left a couple of weeks ago on an aircraft carrier to an undisclosed destination, his plan was to quit cold turkey when they set sail.

That’s a great story. Good for him! Sometimes I wonder if I should have stayed in for 20 and retired out at 38. However, after the gulf war I just felt like I was ready to do something different. If I had stayed in then I probably would’ve gotten sent to Germany after the war.

Religious ed class is over for the next 2 weeks. I had a couple of dozen chatty middle school girls. They can get pretty loud, but at least they were obedient. Impulsive talking is normal for that age group, but I cannot abide misbehaving children.

I have a question. What makes you think these flavors are so great just because they put an "Ultimate" in front of the names?

    Morning, mixers.

They might have guessed right, only down to 32 overnight, so it must be overcast. Still dark, but a reasonable guess on my part ;) Precip claimed to start later today, likely rain here, but snow down to about 2000'

Because they didn't call it "penultimate"?
