Gee, rain. Light atm, but who knows... and all the way down to 45 last night. So, yeah, cooling trend.



Three great games! One of our Mah Jong sets is probably close to 100 years old, gifted from an old friend many years back. The other set is only about 50, which I got while in college, so probably better than many of the sets around now. Sadly neither has seen much use since my MIL passes a few years back - we used to play 3 handed nearly every night.

But zero Go players in the area... and that set is also about 50

Looks like the dreaded town run is on the agenda... oh, well, it is nice to have food

It will be, but it's only about every 6 weeks or so. Hardest part is getting it all in the house and put away...

Well, they have a good selection, but I prefer a store that has the items in stock as the online store shows it, I will see how they are in shipping before I consider whether I want to buy from them again.
It's certainly easy to get in touch with them, so I give them a + there.

The shopping there was done many weeks ago, then there was one they didn't have in stock and couldn't get until the holidays, so I had to exchange the panel for another one.
I wasn't interested in waiting for the Chinese holiday to finish.

The new Capella 4U Blend arrived here today (thank you, BCF!) and since I had three tester bottles ready to go, I promptly mixed three recipes that use it.

Hazy Caramel Leaf • I mentioned the other day

Nuts 4U • 4UB, custard, mm van, van pudding, hazelnut, and a touch of SSA PB

Sweet Soho 4U • 4UB, Soho, PUR Sweet tobacco, graham cracker, meringue

I so much wanted to write up a recipe called Just 4U but I guess that can wait until I do a SFT for it.

Ditto set up as yesterday, feet up with cat on lap and vaping! The good news is that I survived today, tomorrow will be challenging but the worst is past.

I'm not complaining about the above average temperatures - I'll take 40deg over 20 anytime. I know SMT would take the reverse. Kind of like vaping, different preferences!

Big problem now - what to mix this weekend. A few usuals need to be restocked, but I like to include something new/different. Hmmm, decisions, decisions.

I woke up for work this morning and it was 50 degrees. We got up in the mid 60’s today. It just doesn’t feel right for this time of year but I’m sure enjoying it after the below zero temperatures we had a couple weeks ago.
