I reached the goal of a ripe tomato today, but something decimated my 1 jalapeno plant. I'm thinking groundhog. ugh

Good morning random folks. I thought I had to work today. My supervisor said we probably did and would call me otherwise. I never got a call, so I went in and nobody was there and the door was chained, so I came home. PT department is closed today and it's not too hot yet, only 81, so I walked 1.6 miles in the park.

Plan for the day is to roll out the AC. Chatter is that we'll see high 80s to mid 90s for the next week. And little overnight cooling, so it's time.

I just mixed up a tester for a recipe that I wrote up this morning,

Ghosts of Appalachia • apple, caramel, honey, tobacco. Trying for a caramel apple tobacco mix with a bit of honey and maybe a dash of nuts (from a little bit of Soho)

I'm sure that I tried a couple of commercial apple liquids (or partly apple) over the years but don't really remember them.
I'll have to play around with them a bit yet with DIY to see how apples really work out for me.
I do remember liking one of dennism's apple pie mixes that I tried when I first started mixing.

I was watching mission impossible until my father in law stopped over. He talks so loud that you can’t hear yourself think.

Some of both. He has a hearing aid but it never works right. He’s also always been a loud talker.
