Maybe it's the area I live in. A 26% jump.

I've read about rate increases that high or higher, mainly in California. A lot of insurers are pulling out of high risk areas, so some people can't get insurance at all. I'm fortunate that I've only had modest increases, but I live in a relatively safe area. I rent so, rate increases would translate into rent increases, and that hasnt happened in a while, and my renter's insurance hasn't gone up.

I'm in central Maryland, I wouldn't consider it a high risk area.

I am SOOOO ready for summer to end. Dunno why but the heat and humidity is really bothering me this year.
I’m sick of the heat. It’s been 90-100 all week and isn’t going to drop until this coming Thursday. Every day this week my car has read over 100 when I left work.

My homeowners insurance went up some this year but the bigger increase was taxes. They reassessed property values and hiked my taxes.
I'm retired, on a fixed income, home has been paid of for about 25 years. Still costs $400 a month to live in my house.

I’ve got about two years left on my mortgage and that’s about what my escrow is each month.

Howdy random folks. I just finished my workout, same parameters as before. Fortunately today I had access to the gym's big fan that is sometimes available, because the battery died on my little fan. It didn't quite get up to the 102 that the guessers predicted. It was "only" 99. It's supposed to be in the upper 90s for the next week, with no rain in sight.

Howdy Terri. :) I got a bit over two miles again but only because Dd was out and I had the whole downstairs.

Some time next week, probably Tuesday or Wednesday, I'm going to try and bump up my distance to 2 miles on the treadmill. When I'm walking in the park, I'm at 3 miles, but the pace is a lot slower.
