Morning, mixers.

Still hot and dry here, but the most recent guess does show the temp moving down towards the 70s in a few days, so about a week sooner than the guess the day before. Hope they keep it that way!!

Hose detail first thing. Well, third, after coffee and ECF ;)

You're the bestest

And what's that blurry magic
So, Rocky Mountain High might be worth a mix.

At my first taste I wasn't too sure as the menthol seemed strong (@0.5%) and I wasn't very keen on that note. It has settled down since then, or I've gotten used to it.
This is my first mix where I've used it.

The Western isn't very noticable to me but I think I get a wee bit now and then, more at the beginning, along with most of the menthol taste.

The middle part is mostly the spearmint, which may be a touch strong depending on how much you enjoy that flavor.

There is a nice vanilla finish (most of the time) with perhaps a suggestion now and then of marshmallow or perhaps powdered sugar which comes from the Meringue I guess.

Overall, it has grown on me since my first taste (I haven't done very many minty mixes) although I personally might make a few adjustments.
For me:
lower Menthol to 0.25, or omit
possibly lower Spearmint to 0.75
perhaps increase the Western a little, maybe to 2.0%

EDIT: recipe as tested, 4 week steep

Rocky Mountain High

0.50% Menthol (Arctic Winter) (FA)
1.00% Meringue (FA)
1.00% Spearmint (White Winter) (FA)
0.25% Super Sweet (Purilum)
2.00% Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
1.50% Western (Cowboy) (TPA)

tested using a Geekvape Aero sub-ohm tank with 0.15 mesh coil at 40 watts.

Don't think I'll be trying that one. Spearmint and Meringue are two of my least favorite flavors. Tried spearmint years ago and couldn't even finish the first tank. Tried meringue recently with blackcurrant, slowly reduced the meringue down to zero. then I liked it.

I tried a regular menthol once and it didn't work for me. The only menthol I use is TFA Creme De Menthe. One of my favorite flavors. It's very smooth. Good for a strong menthol down to a minor background taste.

I copied another of your recipes a while back which looked really appealing, unfortunately it had 6 flavors and I didn't have any of them. Just looked at the Katcake which I think is one of yours. Same thing though, appealing but I didn't have any of the ingredients.

Used to have a lot of flavorings but I've turned lazy. Couple of times a year I get a brief attack of adventurousness.

You're welcome, Kat, thank you for following me!
Hopefully you'll like it if you give it a try :)
I'm sure I will be mixing it the very next time I drag my stuff out. I'll probably go with your adjustments at least to some degree as I'm a fan of Western

Oh, I did try that Vanillakill mix that I posted about a bit ago.
It isn't too bad but has so many flavors in it that I'm sure a better vanilla mix can be made using less.
I have mixed a few other vanilla testers and if any of those turn out really nice I will let you know.
I don't imagine anything I make will be like the one that you used to like but maybe one will turn out pretty good in its own way.

I seldom vape dark or sweet juice(sweetener).
How long should a mesh coil last, I'm talking ml's not time?
I usually only use commercial liquids in my sub-ohm tanks but pressed this one into tester service recently since I was really far behind.

It really does depend on the particular juice, but the quickest that I've noticed the flavor being affected is after about 30ml or so for a couple of liquids.
I would say that 60ml isn't out of reach before flavor starts to suffer with some.

I have run 100-120ml through mesh coils at times, but the quality of vape is definitely greatly reduced before then. That was mostly when I had to make them last.

When the mesh sub-ohm coils came out I felt that I could live with those and be happy for the rest of my vaping journey. I have mostly switched to RTAs though since I realized that I couldn't trust continued availability, for whatever reasons.

EDIT: From my experience, I'd say 30-90ml, depending on how fussy you are about flavor.
EDIT2: I don't think I've ever tossed a mesh coil until after at least 60ml.

Appreciate that. One of favorite juices from before I started mixing my own was Vanilla. I tried mixing vanilla juices since then but they never matched up to my memory of that original vanilla. That was right after I quit smoking though so only really strong flavors worked. My memory of that juice probably doesn't mean much now.

I just mixed up one mini tester for a fruit mix.

I saw a commercial strawberry-watermelon-peach liquid in an ad yesterday and got inspired to write something up.
    And so began "Feeling Fruity".

I decided to use SSA for those three main fruits, two of which I hadn't gotten into a mix before now.

So, we(?) start with Strong Strawberry, Double Watermelon, and Peach Sweet Type.

Next, adding in a dash of Lemon Sour Type (also SSA) to hopefully "pop" the other fruits a bit, or add some pop in general.

Some FA Pear goes in to hopefully add juiciness.

Then, a bit of Cap Jelly Candy with the intent to enhance mouthfeel.

Lastly, a touch of Cap Super Sweet to do its thing. (I'm back to adding at least a little bit to most everything again. Still too used to commercial liquid I guess)

(My use of the lemon/pear/jelly candy combination for fruit mixes is adapted from the fruit recipes released by Nimbus Vapour. [they used INW Cactus while I usually use FA Pear. I'm not sold on Cactus yet])

    Somewhere between here and there
Good evening. I had a little more work come in today but not enough to keep me busy very long. Hopefully things pick up soon.

I did find a couple recipes on ATF that I want to try so may try to mix them when I go downstairs to workout.

Ooh, what recipes did you find?
I do have oodles saved from there already (as well as ELR) but am always open to more!
