if I were to make a blackberry crumble - based on several DL BC descriptions I've read...........
not trying to clone it - simply looking at ideas for a blackberry crumble

I would likely start with........

FLV Blackberry 1% (fairly strong flavor)
or
WF Mora (Blackberry) 1.5% - 2%
[my personal preference w/most fruits is to start low in a mix]

WF Crumble Topping 0.75%
FA Cookie 1% - 1.5% (gritty texture)

FLV Cream 1%
[a cream to help pull everything together and to add some moistness]

SSA Butter 0.5% - 0.75%
[or FA Butter 0.5% / VT Butter Base 0.75%]

CAP Super Sweet 0.25% (to start)

<<< and from those 'ideas' --- I would do something like this >>>

FLV Blackberry 1%

WF Crumble Topping 0.6%
FLV Cream 1%
SSA Butter 0.6%
CAP Super Sweet 0.25%

and that ^^^^^^ would leave me room to adjust %'s upward, if/as needed
LOL, or to delete/sub any of those flavors that might not be working!!!

Good morning random folks. I got my workout done early today. The last couple of days I did 30 minutes on the bike and 0.5 miles on the treadmill.

When I use one of the sweeteners to enhance a mix, it's anywhere from a single drop (in 10/15/30 mls) to 0.25% (30ml) and as high as 0.5% (30ml).

I would never use a sweetener above 0.5% in any mix.

A gritty texture, sounds like a cookie or maybe a cake flavor ( perhaps ??? ).

Or maybe, WF Crumble Topping ???
That would certainly add a gritty texture and also some sweetness.

IDK....... just thinking out loud.

It doesn’t have to be an exact clone but something close would be nice. I’ve been using the one shot concentrate from dinner lady but haven’t been able to find it and I’m down to a couple bottles. I emailed nomnomz and they said they haven’t been able to get the one shots.

I started the first test with FlV but it just wasn’t what I was looking for. I instead went with mora and some Inw black currant and that seemed closer for the base flavor. After that I added some biscuit, golden butter, and .5% super sweet. It’s not bad like that but still missing something. I made 30ml that I’m going to split up and try different flavors with.

I was planning on blowing out my sprinkler system tomorrow but the wife informed me that it was supposed to rain “all day “ tomorrow and I should do it today. I did and about 15 minutes after I did then it started raining. I checked the forecast and it is supposed to rain tomorrow but not all day. I of course won’t tell her that I saw that.

Had to dig the sweetener out from a tub under the bed. I've had it for many years and rarely used it. Probably because I used too much and made it taste gross. I'm hoping sweetener doesn't go off. It didn't smell off in the bottle.

Last night I was looking for an old post about flavors that I remembered making years ago. I put some words and then my handle in search. There was a time I had to put in englishmi before my name appeared but now just en is enough. Back then there were lots of names that started with english.

Not so many of us these days.

Over the last however many months I've liked what CAP Super Sweet (or FLV Sweetness) does to some mixes. A sweetener can, and does, help to pull flavors together to make a more enjoyable mix.

Although, I think that has a lot to do with humans "conditioned" and "learned" sense of taste over a lifetime. Almost every processed food product has one, or more, sweetening ingredients.

Good evening. I went shopping with the wife. For some reason she always waits until the weekend to shop for stuff besides groceries. It wasn’t bad. Just a sporting goods store and a shoe store.
