Lots of DIY newbies choose flavorings to order the same way you did. They initially think that to make an eliquid...all you have to do is use
a single flavoring with their plain PG, plain VG, and nic base...and they'd get a finished, good-tasting eliquid...like commercial eliquids they've bought. Problem is, that unless they're using a "one shot" (an
already blended mix of all the flavorings needed to make a finished eliquid), they're unaware that their mix will have none of the secondary blender-type flavorings, nor the accents, or sweeteners needed to achieve it.
There are some
very good, already blended, mixes of flavorings that are carried by a variety of vendors. You might want to check out some of those. You could make some eliquids that you like and can vape then, right away...while you're finding recipes and buying flavorings for
other mixes that use combinations of individual flavorings.
Most new DIYers have been exactly where you are, in their own DIY journey, and many more
will be there. It's a learning process, and we all go through it. Heck, I can't think of a single person who does DIY... who
isn't still learning things about it (ie. about new flavorings, new recipes, hints & tips to make their eliquids better, methods they can use, etc.)
