I almost ordered ripe tomato and green bell pepper at ECX today at work.

I have grounded myself from ordering ny more flavors at least until my mixing and testers are caught up, so until next year some time.
I about fell out of my chair laughing, when I read this. I just came back from the ecx site, after Fran's FE lemon discussion, got me to throw it into my wish list. And, while there while there, I (of course) had to give a quick perusal of the sale listings. I saw the FA Ripe Tomato, and the FA Bell Pepper, and thought "what the heck." and they are sitting in the wish list. I come back to the ECF tab, and the first post I read is yours.

Great minds must think alike!
Like you, I told myself no. I have a boatload of new (to me) flavors do in the next couple of days, and I have no business ordering new concentrates, that I have no idea how I might use.

So, I will let them remain on the wish list, and powder it for now.
I do love fresh ripe tomatoes straight from the garden, And I can always munch on a chilled silver of raw bell pepper. I have no idea how "authentic" either may be. So I will be doing my research before ordering.
but that smell around February
I love the smell of tomato vines. There is just something about that green plant smell that is wonderful. During the winter months, I like to smell the little cluster of tomatoes on the vine, just to remind myself that spring will come again.
