Trying a mix from last week ( my week of making recipes for some orphan flavors I’d yet to try). It’s a pear, pink guava, star fruit, lt. rum...

It’s decidedly fizzy! Like sweet champagne. I wouldn’t think it’s the lt rum??? Has anyone else used star fruit before? At the moment, it’s too sweet (pear, I’m looking at you!). Worth tweaking, if it’s good next week
Hmm... interested in which you figure out is bringing the fizzy:unsure:

@dobroeutro I’ve noticed you use the same 5 base flavors in several of your custard mixes. I’m thinking maybe I should mix some up to use as a custard base. I don’t trust my mixing well enough yet to know a base would work, in general, with most any flavors you could throw at it. I believe this one would but I’m not 100% as I did notice you dropped one of the flavors .25% in one of your custards and I’m not certain if the hazelnut & cream would go with just about anything. Do you mind sharing your thoughts?

Light rum and star fruit are the only unknowns. I guess I’m going to have to actually do a sft on star fruit and see if it’s fizzy on its own. Really fizzy, tingly feeling. I may do 10ml and sub blood orange for the pear. I’m not getting boozy out of this :(. Does light rum steep in?

Champagne (TPA) 2%
Coconut (FA) 2%
Ginger Ale (FW) 3%
Light Rum (VTA) 2%
Pineapple (INAWERA) 2%
Sugarloaf Pineapple (VTA) 4%
Super Sweet (CAP) 0.5%
WS-23 30% 0.1%

Notes
Adapted from ECF FranC's recipe. Her recipe and comments are below:

I'm liking this. I thought with the Gingerale and Champagne it would be too sweet but I used my PEG base and it worked great. Also happy with the VT Light Rum. It is boozy.

Fizzy Rum

TFA Gingerale 3%
VT Light Rum 2%
TFA Champagne 2%
Koolada 1%

UPDATE:
I just sampled this at 24 hrs to get an idea of how long it’ll need to steep and it’s already quite tasty! We’re really enjoying it already! Wondering if it’ll get even better... We shall see=P

Thank you

No idea, that’s why I was asking. Not sure I want enough to make 500ml if I don’t know I’m going to love it. Especially for almost $30... that could be spent on a lot of flavors
That was my thought also. They should sell way smaller sizes.

My favorite but gunkiest mix yet is:

    Boston Cream pie (Capella 5%
    Condensed Milk (Flavorah) 0.5%
    Whipped Marshmallow (Silverline 1.5 %
    Double Chocolate (Flavor Art 2%)
2 drops sucralose (in case it wasn't like, sweet enough :lol:)

It is like murder on my wicks, but I'm going to mix more the minute I run out, it's So Good.

I'm wondering how to get some to FranC for her "opinion" LOL.

I can taste light rum after only 24 hrs in @FranC ’s mix but I don’t know yet if it’ll get stronger. Had to resist the urge to vape up both of my samples:p

Yeah, I figured you'd be able to taste it from there.:lol:

One of my first "I was told memories" was my mom used to ration out the candy, and like, apparently I used to steal the candy, and put the candy wrappers in some sort of duct/air vent.

For some reason (I guess, probably because the air vent had ceased working due to candy wrappers, well my parents pulled it off and found "the stash." My mom found my strenuous denials even when faced with the evidence some combination of amusing and horrifying. IDK, I totally maintain that was sort of smart you know for 2 years old, but I guess sweets (and lying) are a bit of an Achilles heel of sorts. It's nice vaping makes it so I only have to address the lying these days, LOL. I think I've come vast distances etc.

I can't say it's boozy as an SNV. It was about 3-4 weeks before I tried mine.

Please share them. I found a bottle of Inw cavendish when I went through my case. I don’t remember what brand it was but there was a commercial liquid called sweet Caroline that was made with cavendish.

I've been playing with a cheesecake "stone" for a while... Not completely sure the last version is exactly where I want it, but pretty good after a month aging. Will likely give it a little more time before making any adjustments... ;) Gonna use it as a Cannolli filling 1st I think... :D

    Cheesecake Stone (WIP)
    New York Cheesecake (PUR) 44.4%
    Cheesecake Graham (PUR) 22.2%
    Italian Cream (Hangsen) 16.7%
    Vanilla Ice Cream (LB) 11.2%
    Biscuit (INW) 5.5%
This looks on point and all some of my favorite flavors! Already looking forward to this one to finish steeping and I haven’t even mixed it yet:p

I'm not particularly inventive when it comes to creating original recipes, kinda like a blind squirrel, who occasionally stumbles onto a nut... But, I am pretty good at adapting/modifying other peoples stuff to suit my stash/tastes, at least in my own mind... The recipes I think you're referring to were created by much more talented mixers than me. I very rarely mix anything as written by the creator, mainly because I don't have the flavors. But when I find something of interest, adapt, try & like it, I often just use the same base flavors & adjust the complimenting flavors to create some variety. Why re-invent the wheel... :) I do occasionally use a few "stones" that were also created by others & just modified to suit. I don't really make/use any bases per-say, mainly because there are times I'll adjust the base %ages slightly or add/delete something to better suit the complimenting flavors, plus I just like to fiddle around... :D For me, it really doesn't save any time, just creates more work and I'm known to be lazy. ;) Not much help I'm afraid, plus it's late & I'm rambling... :(
