Gosh darn it, Saturday already? Dang. I need a day planner like now, but Walmart didn't have any that were for this past year (ask me if I am happy to pay 30 bucks for a day planner that will cover three months. I'm not, plus I will need to buy one for the year to come, too.) But also, I felt it would be like a dangerous move (have not bought a watch yet but I am going to have to) not until I get more confirmation of my start date.

I did yoga not mixing but I shall mix today. Boring but fruitful as it will be all my past faves, but it needs to be done. Time is speeding, jeez, almost October.

I'm gonna attack my bedroom and closet today, too. Organize my first week of clothes I have a feeling I will not be into doing that after 12 hour days (including the commute but still). This...

Well at least the husband agrees I may need to rent a small apartment. I am dubious about my ability to keep it up, as frankly, I imagine I will be crying all the way home after day three, then hopefully I adjust.

Happy mixing today fellow mixers! So glad I have pre made base. Bottles may be an issue, I may have to get creative.

Hope there's no problem with the job after waiting so long.

Going through iffy mixes. One was really good but had coffee in it which I can't vape anymore. Instead of dumping it I'm going to try it out on hubs. He likes coffee vapes sometimes.

Had a Smoked Bourbon that's just iffy but I figure it will fill the bill when something different is needed, like the Boozy Tea. Only one got dumped so far so that's good.

ME TOO. OMG. It would be really bad, the husband did say that if all fails, we can move somewhere else, somewhere really inexpensive and rural and whatnot. I am hoping it will be okay, but man, failing two background checks? (I have no reason to believe I will this time) but yeah, I think I would just give up and work part time at Dollar Tree or something. LOL. I'd feel pretty toasty. I think it will go OK. God thanks @FranC . To be honest, this is like a SMALL background check, I can't imagine how Cavanaugh feels (I do have skin in that game I do not believe his accuser) like waiting for his thing, and knowing his entire life would be RUINED etc.

Sorry to be political, it's just an analogy. My sis went through an FBI background check for her job and described it as "one of the most unpleasant events of my life." With that lot you make an error and it's a lie, well, it's also a FELONY, oh my. Can't even imagine.

Well,on the DIY front,I've tried several mixes today and have probably another 4-5 to go that probably won't happen today. The steeping section of my drawer is half empty so I need to mix sometime soon. No lack of things to vape in my well steeped section so I'm in no big rush.

I’m revisiting the blueberry lemonade today. It seems better after having sat in a tank a few days with the occasional vape. I don’t love it but don’t hate it. I might try something with the lemonade clear and lb blue raspberry.

I have NO IDEA? I have my orientation day schedule, l stopped in to meet the credentialing lady when I went up to do my drug testing. She was super nice but also said that it's "roll over time" with the insurance companies so they are moving slower but she thinks it will be okay. I have to email her the week before my start date, etc. I will find out (I guess) if someone calls me to tell me I failed the background test before like, I start, but I'm just going to email my supervisor and credentialing lady the week before. If it takes longer with the insurance companies, well it would go to November 15th. So hope that doesn't happen. So I am basically preparing for an imaginary start date at this point, but it's ok need to get organized anyway, etc.

So, I have no idea. Etc.

OK, a question for you all that really like the WF Tahitian Vanilla Cream: What's so different about it, compared to most other vanilla flavorings, that makes it a favorite of yours? Does it provide a totally different taste than most? Or any hint of any other flavor, too?

I have at least 9 or 10 other vanillas already, but...since I'm really liking the WF Hazelnuts & Cream, I'm now wondering about TV, too. Going to order more H&C for sure and maybe the TV while I'm at it. Debating on just the smallest size...or going for a 30mL to start with, like I did the H&C.

I got some new syringes a while back and just got around to using some of them. All of the needles are too small and don’t want to pick up vg. Even the 30ml one was having a hard time. Where can I get some bigger and maybe even longer needles for them so it doesn’t take half a day to pull 30ml of vg? I have some 35ml ones that just have molded plastic tips instead of needles but they are messy to work with.

You need at least a 14 gauge blunt needle(preferred luer type that screws on) to handle vg. Let me find a couple of links for you. brb

    :)

I have a few extra to get you through....pm your addr.

I'm interested in that one too but would like to see a review from someone here.

These would really be the best you can get. Lasts forever and have different sizes. On the syringes you have are they the kind with the luer lock on the end? That is mostly what is sold now days but be sure to check......I have a set of these and love them.

@hittman - A trick for getting VG to load easier into your syringe...is to not try to physically "pull" it up into the syringe. Poke the blunt needle tip into it and draw back on the plunger to maybe half way of what you want..and just hold it there. The VG will rise up to that level on its own, because you've created a vaccuum in the syringe. Then pull the plunger back the other 1/2 of the way and wait for it again. Easy-peasy that way!

I agree this works very well, except when pulling the syringe I find myself fighting to hold it until it reaches that point. I do manage somehow when using the set of blunt needles I listed above. What gauge do you use? I cannot imagine anything smaller than 14 gauge being able to pull what is needed without a lot of work/mess.

    :)

I have one hand holding the syringe and 1 hand pulling back on the plunger. My blunt needle tips are 14 gauge. I bought a box of 100 of them (with slide on covers for them) from an eBay seller.

EDIT: Same seller also has packs of 10 of them for $3.79 w/Free S/H:

Yeah, really is no other way to do it. LOL. Maybe I am just not as strong as I used to be. Don't know. Don't you find that there is a lot of pressure to pull and hold the plunger? I sometime use the biggest needle in that pack(8 gauge) and I still have the same pressure, but the syringe fills faster....

    :)
