I'm not into cake vapes either. Tend to be overly sweet for me. I like carrots but I've never had a carrot cake in rl. I'll be interested in your thoughts when you get around to trying it.
It’s not sweet, so it gets points there. It’s the spice I’m struggling with. Maybe play with the %

I love Butter Pecan in RL and also those shortbread cookies you can get in the yellow bag at the grocery store.....maybe my expectations are too high for the vape version of it. All I can do is try it. Not a big fan of vaping ice cream flavors or heavy thick tasting type of mixes.
I can handle sweet as long as its not too sweet. A little is ok.
:)
I agree with you; that trying something is the only way to truly know. :)

As for pecan concentrates; the first one I ever tried was TFA Pecan. To my palate, it was a very good representation of eating the pecan meat right from the shell. No added flavors of maple, sugar, butter, creams, or anything else. Just straight, authentic, Pecan. I never had any interest in searching further.

It is also reasonably potent. I find 3%, or less, to be adequate in most recipes. (Back in my early carto days, and high flavor mixing, 5% was my max.) I have used it as low as 1.5% when I was only looking for a background note. And, as high as 3% when I wanted it front and center. My only caveat: I seem to like/need my flavors a bit stronger than many of the rest of you.;)

It would be nice to have a toasted/roasted version, similar to TFA Toasted Almond. But, I would rather do without, than have to contend with unwanted additional flavor notes of creams and maple.:D

Honestly, I’m on the fence. I want to try it in a lower ohm/more dl tank and see how it tastes there. It’s different after a couple weeks steep. I’m not getting the LA cc icing at all. I get a little carrot and maybe nutmeg?/some undefinable spicy (sorry Fran) and dry cake. That being said, two factors... I’m coming off a head cold, and 2) I’ve only MTLed at @12 watts. Some juices shine at low watts, some at higher airy watts.
I like your idea of trying it in a couple different attys. Also, don't forget to play with power/temp, as well as airflow (if adjustable). I find different flavors/concentrates/profiles, can taste significantly different, in various environments.

Regarding the LA CCI; that can be a 'long steeper." I have read reviews/notes saying a month, or even more. I would consider giving it at least 6 weeks, before making adjustments. Just something to think about... :D

What percentage did you end up using it at? I have used it mostly at 1.5-2.0%, and I find I need at least 3 weeks, before it starts to show its face. :)

Carrot 7%, cc icing 1%. I liked it better before my cold, so it merits a retest after a true steep. It’s just now at 3 weeks. I’m going to shelve any tastings until my nose recovers and just stick with my “altoids” juice. No sense wasting possible yummies on a bum tongue.

I had some juices prior to diy that I used exclusively either with mtl or dl subohm... they were an adv in one, fell flat in the other. I’m mostly a tootle puffer these days, but I do keep one dl tank in rotation (@35-40 watts). The Aegis mini is coming with a tank that’s either a .2/.3 coil. I may run it through that and see how it tastes.

I’m in the process of doing a review on the aegis mini. It comes with .3 ohm coils. I’m strictly an rta user but am really enjoying these coils in the Cerberus tank at 35 watts.

I am not even gonna try....

Just wanted to say good morning, well met and all that. Yesterday was kind of crazy busy but I am getting into a groove.

I have a bunch of notes that are billed incorrectly and I have to fix them all this morning. I have a feeling tonight will suck and I will have to do notes at home.

I fixed the billing issue, but only after 3 days. I am seeing more patients than I thought and also, I seem to be doing Just Fine.

The DITZ medical assistant is still doin' it. I'm gonna give up today, I have better things to do but REALLY. LOL my doc (call her that as she and is share an office hates her too (they rotate around in circles) but she's easier to deal with when she is just under my nose. When she's down the hallway, forget it.

Trash bags and whatnot are working. I have some that are lightly febreezed though (and one regular clothes protector.)

Was feeling a bit itchy yesterday I am hoping it was psychosomatic. I am guessing I will find out. The good news is I don't stink. LOL.. l Can get regular trash bags if needed.

I ran into something I NEVER saw before some guardian GM calling her grandson "lover." The GM son offed himself (I probably woulda) but STILL.

I was so glad not to be a therapist in that moment. I was like, "I don't have to ADDRESS that at all, in fact I can just IGNORE it." LOL. Still crayzee…. I mean 30 minutes with them was like a LIFETIME of pain. I referred them and I feel sorry for THAT therapist.

    Heh.

Seems common with younger folks but don't know about a gm doing it. My x dil called her daughter lover all the time. Drove me nuts.

I will. I just started writing it last night. This is my favorite unit so far that I've reviewed. It'll be hard coming up with cons for this one.

You don't need to if you think there are none.

Post us a link to your review please. I watch/read the “commercial” reviews for an overview, but I don’t think they’re as reliable as ECF users. I don’t mean to imply the video makers/bloggers are dishonest, I just find most of them gush over every mod/tank. I’m looking forward to trying the tank, unusual for a stock tank to get so much love across the board

Hitt does very thorough written reviews. I enjoy reading them even if I have no interest in the mod.

Exactly why I enjoy his and a few others on ECF. Honest and thoughtful/thorough. Sometimes I find something I didn’t know I needed ;)

From general comments I've heard and my personal experience it seems that Geek Vape has a dedication to quality in their business plan. My Geek Vape Aegis 100W is a work of art compared to some mods I own. I haven't really found anything negative about it and the workmanship is superb.

I already did a review on the aegis legend. It's a great mod. I just don't use it on the go because it's a little big for a carry around. The mini makes a great pocket mod in my opinion. I do have to admit that I like geekvape. I've been using their zeus tanks for some time and am very pleased with them. I do think that they make a solid effort to put out a quality product.

The legend is sadly too big for my mitts or pockets. But I love my two 100watters. Super durable, and mine have been definitely put to the test! My mini should be here tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to it :)
