I made a 100ml bottle and have been breaking into it weekly. At 1 week it tasted good to me, but more like a vanilla pudding. Week 2 was smoother and richer but still more of a pudding flavor to me. Week 3 started changing more to a cookie and week 4 even more so. Still has strong vanilla notes but has melded together so the custard isn't quite so up front.
I never got a strong Custard or vanilla taste from the Ella's. I let mine steep though.

Did you mix as per the recipe; or did you have to sub ingredients?

I find it vapeable after just a couple of days (though it does get better with more time). And, like Fran, I never got any sort of defined custard, or pudding note. I know it is there... but it lends more "body" and a tad of moistness, to an otherwise kinda dry "one-note" cookie.

If it is that pronounced, to your palate; maybe, try reducing the custard by 0.5%, and halving (or even completely) omitting the vanilla shisha. (If you do try this; start with a small batch. You may prefer the original more.;)) :D

I think I mixed it accurately (no subs). I liked the taste right away, also. The Vanilla Shisha is likely what is standing out to me, first recipe I've used it in. In the future I may try a different vanilla ( only other I have now is a French Van ) and maybe increase the Biscuit a hair. I like the mouthfeel and richness of it overall.

Breazy. They had them on sale but were out and I got an email they were back in stock. I wonder if it was a mistake.
I ordered from them on the 16th and got a tracking number on the 18th. I think since it is Christmas they are just slammed with orders. Last time I ordered from them it also took 2 days until I got a tracking number and USPS never even recorded that they had picked up the package. Tracking went from label created to delivered with nothing in between so USPS tracking system isn't working right either.

I sampled the eggnog cheesecake with a three day steep — not sure how I feel about it and it could be my taste buds or a longer steep is needed. Real eggnog is creamy and I am not getting this creaminess which I miss. I think I will mix this again with some modifications. I may even try another version with Fran’s cheesecake base instead.

I have a 5% sft going on the WF Shortbread, it tasted a little funny to me when first mixed (not what I expected). Had some sort of pungent tone I don't have the experience to describe. I got a very similar flavor from Purilum Cream Cheese Danish w Toasted Almonds.
What %'s are you generally using it at, Fran?

I did not do a sft on the shortbread but like it between 2-3% in my recipes.

That's kinda what I figured. There are a couple flavorings out there that for some reason when mixed too strong my brain relates to a rotten or spoiled flavor. The PUR CCD was unvapeable for me at 5%, and I wanted to like that one lol. Have yet to remix anything with it, though I did use it in a cheesecake mix at 0.75% and it added cheesiness. I fear the shortbread may give me a similar experience. I'm not giving up on it though, just need to learn how to mix it right.

Mix it light at .75% and work your way up to where it's best for you.

    Somewhere between here and there
I got an email from Breazy this morning and they said that it can take 1-3 days for processing. It's first order in is first order out. I'm ok with that. I appreciate their quick response.

Sugar, any updates on the Granola yet?
While I think it still needs to steep a little more, it is actually quite tasty. I taste a grain type of flavor(maybe wheat?) and slightly nutty. Not bad for just a few days steep. Honey is there but not overly so but not tasting any raisin yet. I can see this being interchangeable with Cereal 27 and may benefit from some sort of cream. Stay tuned.

    :)
