I find it takes about 7 to 10 days, whether to the US or Canada. My Chef's order shipped today too :D Pretty sure I didn't need anything but what the hay! Hard to pass up a sale.

What’s odd is the shipping was the same or even lower than from some of the stores I’ve purchased from here in the States!!!

Man, really disappointed with the TFA Grape juice ... it smells good, but doesn't taste like anything. I tried it at 3%, 5%, 10%, and 15% and I couldn't get any flavor :(

I ordered FLV Grape, TFA Grape Candy, FW Grape Soda, FA Raspberry, and FA Lemon Sicily ... I hope I can make a grape I can taste with all that

2-3 day shipping at least, pretty quick since the place I'm ordering from is only one province over .. kinda surprised there isn't a DIY shop in Alberta

You might try adding a little sweetener.

What size did you get? They were out of the 30mls so I purchased four of the 10mls.

I got two 30ml and one ten. I like using 10ml bottles for mixing and can refill from the 30. Besides, the 10ml fit in my cases better. I’ll keep the 30’s with my bulk flavors.

A Lemon Custard by Nick Evans.

Oh well Lemondowski is right up my alley then. It has the magic ingredients of Lemon and Custard that sets my head a’ spinning lol!

Seriously, I vape my version of lemon custard EVERY SINGLE NIGHt. I get grumpy if I don’t have it :-x !!

I’ve still got 60mls of custard base ready to go. The last time I ran out of it I swore it would never happen again!!it was traumatizing  !!

That being said I still can’t pass up a lemon custard recipe. Where can this one be found?

Good plan. Fortunately the 30ml short stubby gorilla bottles fit into the slots of the nail polish case I have.

I did that, too .. TFA Sweetener 0.5%. Ended up tasting like sweet air lol :/

I've read a through posts (not here), that say they've had trouble tasting TFA Grape Juice as well .. no matter how little or how much they used. Maybe my tastebuds are just broken.

It's in this thread, but you'll find it more quickly on All the Flavors.

I love grap ejuices but I’ve found over the past year to get the “best” overall grape flavor I need to use at least 2 different grape concentrates. Actually I’ve found this works best with most fruits. The flavor profile youre trying to create will determine which fruit concentrates to use.

For example, if you’re going for a grape candy crush flavor you may want to use 2-3 grape flavors that will include one that has a sweet candy like feel or taste to it. To fill that out you may add a different grape for more midtones etc.. this is where it’s important to read Flavor Notes and your own single flavor testings.

So depending on what you want get at least two grape flavors but make sure to read the notes. In the above example you may not want a grape that is tart or sour.

In addition to rounding out flavors you can also add a different flavor altogether to make that main grape flavor “pop” for you. Maybe a small % of some type of citrus.I like to add Fuji Apple to Grape Juice because that grape feels thin to me and the apple gives it more body as it boosts the grape. There are lots of other flavors that will “boost” that main flavor for you as well You can get ideas of options by looking at recipes of the more experienced mixers on sites like All The Flavors. Search through grape recipes that use the grape flavors you have and see what other flavors people are often using in addition to the main ones.

Also and Easier although maybe not as accurate— ELR lists which other flavors a particular concentrate has been paired with the most as well as the top recipes that is used with that particular flavor.

There’s sooo much information available as long as you know that you actually need it and then where to find it!!

So don’t give up and say that maybe you’re one of those people... until you’ve exhausted other avenues.

DIY is lots of fun but it can also require A LOT of experimenting and patience lol!!

Sorry for the long manuscript if you know all of this already lol!!!

I'm incredibly new to DIY, so any information or tips are welcome :) I've ordered a few different grapes as well as some lemon and raspberry to try and make the grape *pop*. Apparently lemon makes a lot of fruits and berries more fruity and berrier :D

I'm definitely ok with experimenting, I think its the steeping times that are the most frustrating thing to deal with for me right now. I have a ton of VG/PG and nic waiting for me, so I kinda wanna find a shake and vape flavor I'm happy with so I can let other combinations sit and steep if they need it. I prefer mellow flavors, like, not too strong, but I want to be able to taste them for sure.

Was trying to avoid having to go out and buy another bottle of premade stuff, but I'm almost out and its another 2-4 days for my flavors to get here lol. Maybe I'll just make some unflavored.

I wonder if a little saline solution would help with the grape. And what about citric acid? That might add some kick.

I think I asked about saline in a different thread and didn't hear back. People are saying to make sure its wound wash, I think? Also, I'm not sure in what quantity to add it to a mix. I do have FA Lemon Sicily coming this week for citric acid.

You can also make so perfectly good juice with just 2 flavors to tide you over. Honestly the simpler recipes are often the best. I use to think that the recipes with 6,7,8 or more flavors must be gourmet masterpieces. Meh - I’m sure some are but I’m just as happy vaping juices with under 3 or 4 flavors. That way I get to know the individual flavors better in addition to the single flavor testing.

I don’t think anyone loses their impatience while juices steep. It’s really torture lol!!

I haven’t been feeling well so haven’t mixed in over a month until Saturday. So I mixed up 3 or 4 that didn’t need steeping and then a few that did. That way I have something to vape while the others are steeping.

Normally I try to mix every 4-6 weeks so I always have something ready from the steep closet, something to go into the steep closet and a few that I can just shake n vape.

How did you pick the flavors you are getting? Did you look at recipes that sound like something you might enjoy then pick flavors from them?

I’m sure you’ll have fun and enjoy DIYing! It’s not only a great and inexpensive way to get vape juice but it’s also a fun hobby if you get into it like most of us here.

I think I made this more complicated than it really needed to be, but it turned out well for a shake and vape, i'm sure it'll be better when it steeps
working on a coconut cream but couldn't decide what would work best  so a bit of everything
coconut, sweet cream, marshmallow, french vanilla, vanilla custard, yogurt, cheesecake, whipped cream, condensed milk, cotton candy, meringue
it's a sweet cream but missing that creamy/custard taste and feel that I wanted more of... somewhere between cream, milkshake and ice cream....it's not bad but not exactly what I was going for and needs more coconut

(afterthought) throw in a bit of butter and this would make for a good buttercream

WOW! That’s a lot of ingredients for a coconut cream!! With all those custards, cheesecake and creams it’ll need a pretty long steep to get that thickness.

Did you make this recipe up yourself or from a recipe you found? There are quite a few very good Coconut Cream recipes on ATF and ELR that I was checking out this weekend that I may mix tomorrow. But I like to keep my recipes to far fewer ingredients. My palette isn’t sensitive enough to differentiate between too many ingredients. For me - Less is More lol! I make too many mistakes with a lot of ingredients cuz I lose focus!!

I may try this one here. More my speed!!

I have made those many ingredient recipes in the past and didn't find a single one that was worth the aggravation. I'm with you on the 3-4 ingredient recipes but often end up with 5-6 with isn't that bad either.
