Yeah, lots has happened for sure. Just the home stretch now.... I am super happy the husband is finding "happiness" in Douglas. I love it there, and it is just great, but I have figured out why. It reminds me of Bethesda, Maryland where I lived as a kid.

It actually is nothing like that most of the houses AND the town park are huge, and there are gigantic trees. But if you factor in the scale of, oh, being say four, it works.

It really is the best and you are right you lot HUGE changes for me. After tipping the movers that much I felt bad for the kid and sent him 100 dollars..... Just because a) could and b) he is on a fairly tight budget at the moment.

As I signed my text "Love, Mom" I realized I have now become the kind of "young adult" Mom where they like, the person you call in extremis and whatnot. Although the kid stays in touch, it made me a bit sad.

I still think some foster kids would be GREAT occasionally, but the husband would FREAK and also I'd wind up adopting them and I'd die when they were 12 or something. Well, maybe not.

The dog did not die in the husband's absence, I tended to his needs. I even had to CALL about his needs as the dog is high maintenance. I bet I could foster a kid.

Maybe not NOW.

Use any small container. I use a small canning jar and end up with over 30ml of flavor.

Fill jar half full with ground coffee and then pour the coffee in a coffee filter. Pour just a little PG on the coffee. Put a paper towel under the filter a nuke for 5 sec. Take the coffee filter out and drape it over the sides of a coffee cup. Fill jar half full with pg and pour over coffee. Nuke for 10 sec. Take out and let drain into cup 20 minutes. Lift filter and pour extract into another cup. Drape the filter back over cup and pour the extract over the grounds and nuke another 10 sec. Repeat one more time for a nice strong extract and then let it sit several hours to drain. Pour into bottles.

Same thing for tea.
You always nuke just the grounds in the filter, right? I.e., after pouring PG over the grounds and letting it drain off, you take the filter off the cup and put only it into the microwave?

I find this coffee extract conversation intriguing, but I do not own a microwave. Is there a microwave free version?

I've read, not here, that you can put a tablespoonful of grinds in 25ml-ish of PG, heat it on the stove and then store for a week or two, then use a cheesecloth to strain the PG. Not sure if that will work, but I'm interested too.

Ok,scratch that. First you heat filter only with the bit of PG. After That you use the filter in the cup to heat. Sorry, been a long time since I did this.

Is there an optimum temperature you need to accomplish or just get the PG warm enough to thin out a bit and take on the coffee flavour? What about a hot bath (for the extract, not me), coffee, PG in your vessel of choice then bath it in a slow cooker full of water at low temp

I would imagine you could simply mix PG and grounds together and let the mixture steep for some weeks, shaking every day. Then strain it through a coffee filter. This is how I make my alcohol infusions.

And thanks for the clarification, @FranC!

Uh oh, now I'm confused again: do you also heat the PG that you've poured over the grounds and allowed to drain into a cup?

    Your welcome.

I don't know how good that would work without heat.

After you heat the filter with bit of pg.then you drape the filter over cup. Pour pg on and heat. Take out and let strain. Do this 3 times. (Need to go back to directions).

I figure if you can cold-brew coffee using water, you can do the same with PG. The infusion will just take longer. I suppose the long steeping time might lead to some flavor changes, though. Although perhaps not. @TylerA, start experimenting!

But you pour the PG that drains into the cup into another receptacle? Or do you nuke it as well?

Sorry to be so obtuse--I'm MS-y today.

    Somewhere between here and there
I still haven't received the zeus x I ordered from 3avape last month. I'm kicking myself each and every day. I emailed them yesterday and they replied and said if I haven't received it in 45 days then they would do a refund or replacement that would probably take another month to get here. I kinda chewed them out on the reply but know it won't do any good. That's the last time I order from them.

I suffer from severe postal anxiety and instant gratificationitis. Purchased a turntable once through a B&M that was ordered from Europe. I made the mistake to assume one was in stock. 3 months it took!! I literally camped out in front of the store, hounding them daily for an update! Credit to all of those who have the patience ordering overseas. Don’t know ho you do it

Too make things more simple, fill a half cup measure with fresh grounds. Empty the coffee into a filter, add a little bit of pg and nuke 5 seconds.Take filter out and drape over coffee cup. Fill the 1/2 cup measure with pg and pour over grounds and nuke 10 seconds. Let set 20 minutes. Lift filter and pour liquid into another cup and then pour back over grounds and nuke 10 seconds. You do this 3 times. Last time you need to let it set for a few hours.
