I just looked at my flavor stash and I’ve got 13 creams not including ice creams. I just kept buying them as recipes called for them.

13? Oh you’re way ahead of me! Care to list which ones you usebthe most?

So many different creams. I’ve decided I can’t possibly purchase every single one. I mean I could but I’m not going to! I’d need a suitcase for just the creams. I have some “basic” creams but it would be helpful to put together a list of Must Have creams (basic) and Beyond Must Have creams that are used most often in recipes.

Any help would be great. I’ll start with a Must Have:
    Bavarian Cream TPA

I also have Italian Cream and Sweet Cream CAP & FW but I don’t know if they are a Must Have Cream.

I need help lol! So basically what other creams besides Bavarian area Must Haves??? I mean it would be great to have them all but not everyone can afford all of them.

I really don’t use much cream at all unless I find a recipe that calls for it. Kind of sad. I just kept buying them as either recipes called for them or people recommended them. One recipe I did come up with used three of them. They were Fa Catalan cream, Tfa sweet cream, and FW sweet cream. It started out as a high percentage flavor mix when I was early into mixing and then I started mixing it as a base so I could change the amount of flavor I was using.

replying to my own post :)

if u haven't tried a malted milk flavour in your creamy recipes this is definitely one that can bring a change to your recipes, its been years since i have used it due to all of the recipes i made with it i had it mixed up with strawberrys n a tiny bit raspberry years on strawberrys its still seems numb on the taste buds but i can taste it a bit now

Today it kind of felt like that, actually. It was not fun day. EVERYONE told me to go to the emergency dentist from FRIDAY onward. So, I did because I am still all swole up like a whale.

And seriously, thanks to my confusion and a change in generis, last night I made the kind of med error that like makes you SHIVER with terror, when you (luckily) figure it out. I mean, if I did not die of something, I would have had a VERY not fun time.

So, I made an "emergency" dental appointment because "THEY" all said to from day one... I was like, "I am being clear about my ISSUE, my implants EVERYTHING."

So I went... It was an hour late... My innocent query regarding the fact that they didn't have a 360 degree scanner was bit odd... I did not think they would see much was met with "OH EVERYONE says that." I was like, "Holy jesus Christ, someone should have SAID something. In between almost poisoning myself with meds, I could have found the right kind of dentist that took my insurance but NO everyone waxed lyrical about Dental in Douglas (at my job).

After they jammed about FIVE of those "x ray things" in my mouth, the LAST time the chick did not take her FINGERS out, she was jamming it so hard. Somewhere, is a an X ray of my jaws..... With fingers in it. I was also crying by then.

The dentist was mean. She was like, "I can't do anything for you." I was like, "Blah blah blah THESE are the things you CAN actually do for me and she was like "Whatevers." She said she was gonna refer me. No thanks. I can look up dentists that aren't well, mean and rude." I explained my 30K thus far dilemma as far s like being in NEED of like, preserving my insurance. She actually tried to prescribe antibiotics that were LESS strong than the ones I had.

She said, "I'm sure you don't want to see your LAST oral surgeon." I was like "Um actually I could have been there ALREADY like TODAY." She acted like he was evil and he wasn't. I was just trying to explain to her t hat I was DONE with surgery and needed the implants I had.

By the end of the visit, they handed me this... Bill. The only person who had ANY sense at all was the dental hygienist who set me up with an implant guy in Sierra Vista on Wed. Behind my dentist's back. She was all, "Oh he's never available" like jealousy or something. My implants all seem fine by the way. I just have some nasty infection in my jaw, like I thought. I suppose that was good news.

But the bill... I scrawled on it "please feel free to bill my insurance but I am afraid I wrote on there, "Bill away. I will be talking to my insurance company about information given and services rendered, etc."

The oral hygienist snuck me out at that point. I think that was probably sensible. She was all like "yes but your insurance will pay it." I was like, "Yes, I know and I only have SO MANY insurance DOLLARS to spend, and I am not spending it on THIS."

That was when I quietly exited. I bet my boss got called. Probably. I'll probably get in trouble tomorrow, but I am supposed to get the SAME care as any patient, and if that was IT, that place should be shut down (only they move the dental MA somewhere else) or BOMBED even.

It was worse than the Mexican dentist BY FAR. I mean, yeah, my dentist used gloves but you don't JAM an xray film so far down someone's throat (I assume they GET that they don't get good coverage) that the person CRIES.

Sigh. Kinda nervous, but I'm sorry I do NOT let that stuff slide. Maybe I am hypervigilant but if your emergency dentistry consists of a good scolding if you have implants…. TELL me that. NO one did, not dire ER doc not anyone they were all like, "go to the dentists here they are so AWESOME."

Maybe compared to "Bite down on a leather strap and have a belt of whisky while I pull this tooth." But only MILDLY better.

    Am very nervous.

I'm so very sorry you're going through this, Anna. Teeth/mouth/jaw problems are miserable enough without having to battle incompetent/uncaring dentists. And if you get into any kind of trouble for complaining, well, this song comes to mind:

You are amazingly tough, but, jeez, you need a break. I hope this rotten bit is resolved quickly, followed by a long, peaceful stretch. Good luck.

does anyone have any malted milk an biscuit recipes they could share ?
I was gifted some TFA Malted Milk, by another kind soul; but have not tried it yet. The only recipe that has caught my eye (also not tried), that uses it, is Kreed's Thick Banana Milkshake. Which has favorable reviews (along with Kreed's Custard). The recipe is follows:
    Kreed's Thick Banana Milkshake
    Banana Cream (DX) (TPA) 12%
    Vanilla Custard (CAP) 5%
    Vanilla Custard (TPA) 5%
    Malted Milk (TPA) 3%
    Ethyl Maltol 1%

Author suggests a 2 week steep
    (source)

Overall flavor percentages look a little high for me. But, I will likely start out mixing and aging a small 10-15mL batch per the author's recipe, and then experiment with small dilution experiments if needed.
    :)

Good lord, they look high even to me!
The original recipe was from 2015... so, older equipment could certainly be one factor. However, with a 10 to 15mL tester, it is easy enough to draw off a mL or two at a time, and experiment with different dilution ratios. Doing it that way, has the added advantage, of not having to wait for additional aging.

does anyone have any malted milk an biscuit recipes they could share ?
    Biscuits and Jam
I haven't tried it yet but sounds good, don't have hardly any of these
    (INW Biscuit 1.8%
    (FA) Butter 0.2%
    (FA) Cookie 1%
    (FA) Cream Fresh 1%
    (FA) Joy 0.3%
    (INW) Shisha Strawberry 3%
    (TPA) Strawberry (ripe) 5%
    (FA) Vienna Cream 0.5%

I edited it down to a simpler version I'm going to try just need to get the biscuit flavor
    Biscuit 4%
Butter .5% (I usually just add 1 drop per 10ml in my waffle vapes)
    Sweet Cream 2%
Strawberry 6% (I might split this 1/2 and 1/2 with strawberry and ripe strawberry)

i'm not sure about sweet cream
I have bavarian cream, cheesecake, condensed milk, french vanilla, meringue, sweet cream, vanilla custard, whipped cream, and yogurt... I figured sweet cream would be ok
