Good morning, random folks:) I'll be headed home a bit later and refuse to feel sorry for myself anymore at this time. Not to say it won't happen again.......

I'll be bringing my 4 iffy mixes home to try. One is really my first serious try with the FE? Sweet Rice. Another is my first try using Avocado Cream. The other 2 are just plain iffy.

Just read that you went or are going home for the very last time. I can’t begin to imagine what that must feel like. I really hope your new situation will be peaceful and calming go you.

I do too what are you planning on using it in. I think I bought it when I read it enhanced some other flavors but I can’t remember for the life of me what they were. I’m sure a search through recipes with cucumber concentrated will help.

She was talking about real cucumbers when she said that. She's made pickles with them. :)

I remember early in my mixing journey that I opened a package from bcf and thought “ those flavors sound good together”. By dumb luck I really liked the mix. It’s too flavored for me now but I used it for quite a while.

I did some sft’s on lemonades and the cap pink lemonade is awesome as a stand alone. I mixed it at 4% and I might put a drop of citric acid in it but there was very little fading even after 3 weeks. It’s got a nice lemony tartness to it but not overwhelming. More top sour notes of a freshly made lemonade.

The LA Lemonade was good too but not like a tart or sour lemon. It had a fuller mouthful and more lower notes.

Mixing the 2 might taste fantastic. I’ve tried so many crazy lemonade mixes and to find just one or two combined flavors that taste great is an easy mix for sure!!

I was thinking 4% CAP and 2% LA might be a good quick mix. A drop of sweetener could be worthwhile to try and again a drop of citric acid for a lemon preservative might help if making a large volume of it.

Coming the first of next month I will start getting my rent on this house which will give me a little spending money to stock up on whatever I might need. Right now I don't see where I need much of anything

So you’re keeping the house but renting it out? That’s a really good idea. Something I’ll probably have to look into as well.

I recently tried WF lemonade SC and like it really well. I think I’ve got at least 15 lemonade flavors.

I love all things lemon or lemonade!! I have 2-3 more lemonades to finish testing. I just liked the CAP so much I didn’t want to stop vaping it lol!!!

Been out of sorts for the last couple of weeks with a C-Diff infection since July 25th (hospitalized last week for 4 days, too)... Ugh, thank you (not!) ulcerative colitis! :-x

Needless to say, I have done nothing since then and today is my 1st day back at work. I haven't vaped anything since then until a few days ago, but I did manage to try Ella's Shortbread before I fell ill... Nope, WAY TOO sweet. I will try it again at some point, but eliminatomg the sweetener until I try it without. Good God, it was far sweeter than I expected it to be and that's all I tasted. No sweet, buttery cookie at all.

Hope all of you are well (I may not catch up on the thread)! :)

Oh god that can be EXTREMELY serious and dangerous. I’m glad you’re doing well. I worked in healthcare- hospitals & private offices- and I know exactly how scary c diff can be. Make sure everything you touch like your phone and door knobs is wiped down often with a disinfectant.

I've never put my flavors in frig or freezer.

I thought one of the flavor manufacturers TFA? say not to freeze concentrates? I forgot why- crystal formations or something like that. I could be wrong but I keep all my backup bottles of flavors in the veggie drawers. The ones I use in the organizers I just keep in a dry dark cool space.
But what do I know there’s lots more experience here than what I know !!!

I don't need to mix more right now but I have a Cheesecake on my mind. I'll be back with my flavors and my Cheesecake Base in a couple of days and trying to think of something a little different.

I’m planning on a small tester of kiwi cheesecake not sure if that’s what you mean though.

My problem will be identifying which ingredient has too much and which one has too little. :)

That’s why I find single flavor testing so important. It may be tedious but how will I know what recipe needs more or less of a particular flavor if i haven’t tasted them individually.

Ha, I was gloating about real cucumbers--with which I made pickles that have turned out rather well, I'm happy to say. Now I have to eat a ton of them because they don't last all that long and I filled a half-gallon jar.

I'm in the same boat. Too many pickles.
And it's harder to give away pickles than, say,... strawberries lol. Not everyone wants them.
