So I had lots of computer madness and I found the HDMI to HDMI cable the husband said he did not have. Or, more charitably could not find. I am back up and running on my HP 17 inch flagship computer and it is like coming home. I have a windows license! I know how everything works.
I might even get the husband to replace the screen, it's not that expensive but MAN there is a difference between a 1500 computer and a 300 dollar one. I may even take it in for some preventative maintenance so I don't kill it. Because this may be my LAST computer or at the least last one for the next few years, until we are finally in our final abode. I'm not cleaning. The packrat can just... LOL I will probably clean. Honestly, though I kind of understand because like, I was HELL on HDMI cables because I was travelling non stop and like, well, I guess my fine motor tremor, plugging and unplugging was hard. I also maintain that is what killed my computer to begin with.
It's not just YOU that has to deal with a new environment. But, your stuff does too.
I may reread my book it's been a year, but like, it has been my experience of my evaluation of "bad" or "good" not changing that much. I have written a couple of excellent travel novellas. They remain good. But who knows,
