OMG y'all I can never catch up. Also, as
@FranC has said, nothing is off topic on this thread well, I kind of need to vent.
Some of you all know my new PCP (who had thyroid cancer, I think she is too close to it) has been jacking with my thyroid since the day she met me. Even though my T4 was LOW (it's the only number that really counts) she has been having a fit about my "suppressed" thyroid.) She's been freaking changing things for months (like 6) and every change makes it WORSE.
She finally convinced me to switch to Synthroid so I did that, and felt like CRAP, I kept trying to call her but I legitimately felt like CRUD, and she was like, ,"Wait the 8 weeks." I got my lab work and like, my T4 was normal but my TSH was lower than it had EVER been. No wonder she like, well she was like, "are you losing hair" my first visit and I was like, "IDK I will check" and then I started freaking out because I WAS losing hair and then I was like, "Maybe I just didn't pay attention." So I'm completely messed up.
I have to fire this woman. I am going to beg my psychiatrist (who says the only number he cares about is T4) to put me on my old regimen where my T4 was actually slightly LOW but I felt FINE. He was like, "Why is she all jacked up about your TSH and I was like I HAVE NO CLUE."
Which leads me to rant number two. Friday, which was really dull in a good "you could catch up way" which I sort of did well my employer has just opened a PHARMACY in Douglas and I was like, "Oh good. I can get my meds cheaper." The Sierra Vista pharmacy was really professional actually.
So I call, say "I need these two meds ONLY and you will need to contact nutballs PCP to get refills because I am out. I need them by Friday."
Well, my psychiatrist's office manager called me Friday PM almost in TEARS. Apparently, the woman I SPOKE to tried to fill psych meds I did not even NEED and kept trying to get her to send clinical NOTES as proof I was being seen like my entire CHART. There is a long explanation of why they need SOMETHING saying I am seeing the doc (which office manager lady tried to give her in many WAYS) but she literally HARASSED this poor woman for 2 DAYS until she called me in TEARS. She was like, "I don't want you to run out of meds but there are things in notes sometimes..." I like reassured her a) I did not need the meds and b) pharmacy lady was PSCHO and so then I called psycho lady and she was rude AND uninformed and then just before she was gonna hang up I was like "put me though to your pharmacist" because I was MAD.
So he verirfied she was wrong, asked me to "send him texts, emails, faxes" (I already asked office manager to KEEP everything in case she had sent her requests "off label" so to speak (I mean she could be related to someone who "hates me" so tp speak) and I was like,, "Pharmacist, no I am NOT providing you with MY proof I'm quite sure ALL requests should be visible in YOUR system do YOUR due diligence, dude." (He could tell I was amped up to CITE his pharmacy as NEEDING to be shut down on week 2, only it is MY employer's pharmacy. I MEAN. )
So yeah, then he frantically tried to get my refills only HE did not have them in stock, but Sierra Vista did but no one could find my PCP so they did a "Standing order" type thing, and I DO have to go get them because ONE is the damn thyroid med and my doctor is going to FREAK when she sees my labwrok on Monday and probably try to like remove it. Something. So I have to DRIVE to Sierra Vista today, arriving before 4 pm.
I have ZERO desire to do that, but I am going to have to. Then, I will have to beg my pdoc for like, some NORMAL thyroid regimen I had been stable on for 10 years, that did NOT cause my hair to fall out, nor to have my freaking period for 3 weeks, nor to feel ODD.
Then I have to find a new PCP not connected to my work and pay more at CVS for the rest of my life because when the pharmacist was like "I could ORDER your meds and have them in stock for next time," I was like, "I am not sure I would do that, because so far you have demonstrated to me you are incapable of the SIMPLEST tasks and I think that includes DIOSPENSING meds.
Jesus. At least the CVS here is COMPETENT and fast. But yeah, I think this whole work PCP thing is NOT going to work out.
I have NO time for this and I'm fairly certain I may have to go back to Tucson. So be it. I can sill see the crazy Douglas docs for like, minor stuff like well, pinkeye but they will ah, not be managing my care.
Holy goodness.
I could do better myself with Thai natural thyroid meds and a freaking, lab test every once in a while. .I know when I feel NOR MAL..
God. God. I need this like a hole in the head. But, I gotta leave. I mean, I can't be REPORTING my own employer's PHARMACY for God's sake.
