Yes. I keep making that mistake  INW flavors are mostly strong, some medium. It's not my general practice to sft fruits but I have found the Black Currant not very sweet and I like the flavor. The 1 1/2 % seems to be perfect. Imparts the fruity taste without having any big effect on the Dark Fire.
I look forward to your report. I'm always game to try another twist.

I don't have the INW but have FA. I wonder if that would be any good? What is the flavor of the Dark fire like solo? I keep seeing you two talk about it and have been thinking about ordering it.
Dark Fire is what it says. A fire cured tobacco. I don't know if you ever had a fire cured NET but they tend to be stronger flavor. And smoky. Ever use liquid smoke on your food? Fire cured is like liquid smoke. Not sure what tobacco is used and it doesn't matter as much because the fire curing process changes the flavor quite a bit. It can also be a bit on the rich side (in a savory way) so there is a limit on how much you can vape. This is why I'm trying to add just a touch of dark fruit like banana or apricot (Fran is using currant). I'm adding just enough to temper the smokiness/richness but not enough to block the taste of the Dark Fire...at least that's what I'm aiming for. Dark Fire is the barbecue of NETs. :)

So I decided to try my third Banana Dark Fire 2FT. I wasn't going to bother with it after testing the first two but I thought what the heck. It was mixed and ready. The first two had straight banana at 1%. It was more than I wanted so I made one at 1/2%. Waiting another week on that. The one I'm vaping now is 1% DX Banana Cream. Again, too much banana. And not sure the cream is working either. So I'm just going to work toward the 1/2% Banana (CAP) for now.

I considered getting a banana to try but decided against it. Pretty certain if I tasted it at all I wouldn’t vape it at all.

I'd stick with your currant or apricot for now. Go with something you know wont offend you. While the amount of banana I intend to use will be such a small amount as to barely taste, it isn't worth the risk if you reject banana as a rule. I don't care much for banana vapes either but the level I'm adding wont make it a banana vape. It's relegated to a subtle modifier only. Your currant should do the same thing.

The Black Currant does well. Should I do another I may use the apricot I have but I’m thinking more of huckleberry.

Yeah, go with what you know. I don't know much about huckleberry but my sense is it is a little on the musty side. I think musty would pair well with Dark Fire.

Yes,I suppose you could call it that greatly depending on what it’s mixed with. I think it will go well with the Dark Fire.

Thanks for the explanation. I do want to try it but don’t want to place an order for one. I’ll have to look and see if anything else sounds good.

@FranC , you asked about mixing some other fruits... have you tried FA Kiwi? Not sure what to mix it with (I'm doing it with strawberry myself)
I do have kiwi which I haven’t used much. It does go well with strawberry and other fruits.

Any ideas on some different fruit combos (just 2 flavors). Not including the commonly used Strawberry and Raspberry. Not to include Apple that I can't taste or peach that I can't vape (there are probably others ). Also not including Cranberry or Rhubarb that I already use a lot.

My fruit recipe is 4% Mango and 4% Papaya. Both TFA. For a long time I did 3% of each and 3% juicy peach but dropped the juicy peach one time when I ran out of it and liked it better without. Also 2% sweet cream and 2% vanilla. It took me a long time to get a fruit mix I enjoyed but this one does it for me. And 1% Smooth. Not sure if that makes a difference but I do it because someone suggested it.

Right now I'm trying out some new flavors. Orange Cream and Kiwi. What's the rule for steeping single flavor mixes? Seems like it wouldn't be necessary, but I guess nobody really knows how steeping works anyway.
