My target is about 70% pg and 6 mg nic. Since I mix my nic base ahead I just add a little more nic. Close enough for me.
I’ve been mixing from scratch for over a year but I’ve been really procrastinating a lot and not getting around to it. I thought a ready mixed base would get me going. Maybe not a good idea...When I get a scale I will do that too.
Some good reasons to have pre-mixed base handy: 1. if you mix too strong it's easy to dilute 2. when changing juices in a tank, I vape some unflavored base between juices.I’ve been mixing from scratch for over a year but I’ve been really procrastinating a lot and not getting around to it. Maybe we can give each other that kick in the azzzzzI’ve been mixing from scratch for over a year but I’ve been really procrastinating a lot and not getting around to it. I thought a ready mixed base would get me going. Maybe not a good idea...
maybe a good, swift kick in the azz?
Anyone? Now’s your chance!! Lol
If I run out of your strawberry biscuit it’s not going to be pretty! Sadly I got flavors for more of your recipes since that has been an all day for a few months but “not got around to it”.Maybe we can give each other that kick in the azzzzz
I’m glad I don’t get buttery from the croissantResults of my SFTs...
(CAP) Sweet tangerine (6%) nice "candy" flavor
(VT) Orange marmalade (6%) authentic marmalade
(VT) Vanilla cream (6%) nice vanilla with a bit of cream
(WF) Croissant (3%) rich and buttery
(WF) Flapper pie (3%) light custard, touch of meringue, not much crust flavor
(WF) Chocolate chunks (3%) semi-sweet chocolate, reminds me of Kahlua (without the vanilla)
I am very happy with all of them. To my surprise (because I like dark chocolate) the chocolate chunks needs a bit of cream. The sweet tangerine/orange marmalade combo will be perfect for my new recipe (will post later) I can't decide whether to use vanilla cream or flapper pie with the chocolate chunks (I don't have a plain cream) I never had a buttery flavor so can see many uses for croissant (like french toast) I think it needs to steep to bring out the bakery flavor more.
Ok,kick in the azzzz coming your way........If I run out of your strawberry biscuit it’s not going to be pretty! Sadly I got flavors for more of your recipes since that has been an all day for a few months but “not got around to it”.
If you pre mix your base then you have no additional work to do. I doubt you will notice the little difference the pg in the flavors make.I mix at 6 mg 50/50 but my one and only commercial mix is 12 mg 80 PG.
Back atcha! LolOk,kick in the azzzz coming your way........

Lol I’m not precise mixing from scratch, on a scale! After I started making base I regretted not doing it sooner. I make it with 7mg nic, 70% VG, 30%pg. Figure my juices will end up around 6mg and maybe 35% PG. It wouldn't work for someone who wanted to be precise about PG/VG or nic level.
I have four 1/4 liter plastic bottles that nicotine came in. I mix 200 mls of base in each bottle so there is space for shaking them up. 800 mls of base lasts me around 3 months.
It makes the actual juice mixing easier. Less things to put in the bottle and I don't need to thaw out nic each time and measure out tiny amounts of nic. With base I can mix a single bottle of juice without any planning.
Now I got it going even easier. I mix 100mls of juice, and use a 100ml measuring cylinder for base and a 10ml cylinder for flavorings. Only use a syringe once in a while for stuff like sweetener that needs small amounts. Cylinders aren't as accurate as syringes or scales but they are quick and easy, and not much to clean up afterwards.
Try that VT orange marmalade at 2.5-3 sft and I bet you get a surprise. I actually get a thicker more flavorful taste at that levelResults of my SFTs...

I'm using both (orange marmalade and sweet tangerine) in my recipe because it is basically a "candy" but overall the orange marmalade is super good and I will use it much more often than the tangerine. I also have boysenberry preserves that I love (with cheesecake)Try that VT orange marmalade at 2.5-3 sft and I bet you get a surprise. I actually get a thicker more flavorful taste at that level
