Good morning random folks :)Have you any plans today?
Work, and then come home and probably not work outside.. 90+ today, so I'll take that time to get needed groceries and supplies. Although I've got my next spot cleared and leveled for another raised bed, which building it and filling it isn't too strenuous. The plants are loving my beds

It is hard work, at first. But I guess it depends on their situation, how level their ground is, if you've got concrete dirt like I do, various factors, etc. I'm banking on some great bountiful future harvests to justify all the hard work, I hope! :)

Yeah, there are bugs spiders and worms involved. I was just out last night spraying my plants trees and shrubs with neem oil (it's a mildew, fungus, and a bug deterrent), I dont mind bugs.. just not on my plants please!

Varieties of tomatoes and peppers, cilantro, collard greens, lettuces, and I think some brocolli. Some sort of squash. I think this next bed will house some green beans and snap peas and stuff like that, but after that I think it'll be too late to plant anything. I'll still get 2 additional beds built, and the herb bed built, and probably those long perennial beds built if possible, but that's just so we are ready to go next season. Wife has to go back to MN later this summer, and that's when she'll get the rhubarb and asparagus. It'll be nice to get the established asparagus, cuz if we start from scratch it'll take 3 years to be able to harvest.

I hope everything grows good for you. Also hope your wife won't be gone for long when she goes to MN.

    Morning all!

SIL still very sick and is supposed to get tested for covid today. We have groceries coming 8-9am which we normally don't do but it seems I'm up so might as well get the stuff.
Hoping she will be alright and it's something other than Covid.

Should be smooth sailing, and a somewhat quick trip. But I've told myself and heard that before.

Otherwise I've got a really nice crop and mountain of crappy dirt so far.

Interesting. Our county just announced school plans for K-12. They are letting the parents vote on 4 options. Normal in person, remotely taught by the school's teachers, virtual learning that is longer than one year by an external teaching group, or a combination of in person and remote. I am not sure what parents will do if they work and have children at home. But at the same time I can't imagine sending my child to school. Although I will be doing the same with my college aged son. He is supposed to go back for the Fall.

Just bathed and I feel like a new person. I need to down some water and take my vitamins and I will be mixing large batches of my favs. I'm still caught up at work. I'm going to organize files after I mix. My home office is a mess.

My wife and I are nervous about our youngest going back to college in the fall. We have already signed the lease for the apartment so it's too late to back out on that. My daughter said she wants to go there even if they change their mind and do online classes again.

I'm awaiting my covid results. Heavy lungs and sore throat. Could be a 14 day lock down. Hoping for a negative test. I think my problem is dehydration and warm temps inside the building. I'm off work until I test negative. Hope to get results by Friday. Today I have the dreaded headache. Going to mix this weekend.

I'm having fun in the garden. My Amish paste tomato plants are so tall. Most of them are 6-7 feet so far. I didn't expect them to reach that height in WI. It's my first year of growing Amish Paste. My garden is like a second job.
