The Temps were so good in concert, even when older. I saw them about 20 years ago and the 4 tops at the same time.
We had this park across the street from my house in Miami (Carol City) called Scott Park. It was around 1979-1980 and I remember they would have soccer matches every weekend certain times of the year, which meant us kids would not be able to play in the park at all during those particular weekends. Sometimes the crowds were huge and there were more women then men, and I mean a lot of women. They would surround the park and scream every time this one particular guy, with what seemed like to me at the time, very strange looking hair. I didn't find out who he was till about 1983 which is when I found out he died a few years earlier. A teenage girlfriend and I had taken a bus to Peaches Records because she said she had to buy this album. I remember when she picked it out I looked at the cover and immediately remembered the guy from the soccer field that all the women were screaming at. It was Bob Marley... There were times earlier in the morning before the crowds would form he and about 6 other guys would do laps jogging around the park. I was literally within 100 feet of him and never knew who he was at the time.
We were talking about that last night. Most folks, their musical taste freezes at some point. There's not much I listen to after around 1980. A few odds and ends caught my fancy since then but mostly I listen to 60's and 70's stuff. Been spinning a lot of Traffic and Wishbone Ash lately.

I had a much older brother that got me into ac/dc when I was 6-7. From there it’s been rock, blues, and metal. I still like some older stuff but listen to a lot of new stuff. I have SiriusXM which plays a lot of new stuff on certain channels. I listen to it at work all day.
