Have you ever actually
been there? Many people have, but usually on a cruise ship that stops at only 3-4 port cities in the Inside Passage part, for 5-7 hours each, in a week's time.
For me, it's my absolutely most favorite place I've ever been. That's comparing it to the states I've been to, the Caribbean Islands, British Columbia, and 12 countries in Europe. Since my first trip up there in 1974, I was "hooked on it". Have gone up there 8 more times since 1996, for about 3 weeks at a time.
I'd live in Alaska from mid May-October and back down here every winter, if I could. Unfortunately, with all the "critters" I have here to care for, and 94 year old Mom living next to me...that's not possible, now. The gorgeous scenery, the abundant and diverse wildlife, the super-clean air, the extremely friendly and down-to-earth people, the types of outdoor activities available, the abundance of seafood, etc. ALL keep drawing me back there. It's truly like no other place I've ever been.
