I applaud you, and I think your girls are lucky to have such a fantastic father, and I really mean that.

I went to college in 92 in Miami. College classes at the time were 90 dollars per credit, so a 3 credit class would run me about $270 a semester. I worked, received VA benefits from my father of about $450 per month, and along with pell grants, etc.. I was able to walk out of college without any debt. I generally took 3 class per semester so it would run me about $1600 per semester after books and tuition fees.

My middle daughter is going to the same school now. Cost per credit last year was $403. So a 3 credit class runs her a little over $1200 per semester. $3700 for 3 classes, and no book costs included. If you include books it can be over $4200 per semester.

My oldest graduated from USF in 2014. The cost there were exceptionally higher and I am guessing she'll never pay off her student loans.

Even my wife who is in her 40's, and we pay $800 a month towards her student loans, doesn't look like she'll ever fulfill the debt. She has a doctorate in chemical engineering though so it was a lot more than any of the girls.
Tell her to hang in there. As an aside at the end of a press conference last year, our governor announced he had made the last payment on his law school loans. He’s mid 50ish. Price increases on education are ridiculous. I went to a private university in the early/mid 80’s, it was $5700 a year. Today the tuition is 10x plus that. No education should cost or is worth a quarter of a million dollars!

No mixing today. House chores and a large upright freezer trying desperately to die has my attention. Plus, I forbid myself to mix until I updated my stash. Currently me, myself and I are in a standoff on getting that done

Back in the early 80s, I was paying $4 a semester hour. Including lab fees, it cost me $300 a semester for tuition. Now my daughter is paying more in tuition than I paid for medical school. She's attending a public university just like I did.

I spent the morning "cooking" ejuice, as I used to tell my daughter. I made 43 30ml bottles of single flavors, 22 flavors in all. Except, I ran out of VG before I was done, so I got to make a legitimate vape purchase. However hanging out with y'all, I decided to try a simple mix I came up with, Jamaican rum and coke.

I might regret this later, but made a splurge and bought a huge 4K Sony TV. It'll be a huge upgrade on an older 32 inch 1080p Sony. I would have gone with Samsung, but the price per performance, or whatever, wasn't as good as it was/has been in previous years. The Sony was an incredible deal and a larger screen for about the same money as the Sammy. I don't think it'll help me with mixing, but it sure will be a nice cinematic experience.

That is awesome! I bought my first 4K TV a few years ago, and when it developed black spots on the screen I thought I was doomed but the wife had bought a 4 yr warranty! They replaced it with a Vizio 4K and this has been a great TV but with the new Xbox Series X coming I'd really like a TV that can take advantage of the features so I'm looking at a 75" Vizio Quantum X, around $2k. I have a 75" TV now and love it.

What what I've seen on YouTube, Samsung TV's for 2020 aren't that great and have less features than last year. I was looking at them but decided on the Vizio.

My youngest stayed in the dorm the first year. After her scholarship, it was about 19k not including books and expenses. Room and board there is pretty high in my opinion so we got her in an apartment this year.

I'm so glad I'm content with my 27" monitor (no television).
Pretty sure my bedroom TV is a 27" also. I'm sure it's no bigger than that. I'm happy with it. Never had a desire for one of those huge ones.

Pretty much exclusively. I like having a large stash of ready to vape juice on hand. I bought 24 4oz bottles of my favorite flavors 3 years ago. They are about 3/4 used up. I spent maybe $250. I'm not much into heavy dessert type flavors, but I will consider mixing what I do have or what I would like as a single flavor. Mostly fruits and beverages.

Indeed! I went with the Sony x900h 65". it "has" 4k@120hz capabilities, but afaik still waiting on a firmware update for hdmi 2.1 for the 4k@120. I did notice that there are TV brands (vizio) that ready to go. Gaming isn't super important to me, so I can wait. I have a computer monitor for that anyway. The x900h was on sale for $1k, $400 off, so I pulled the proverbial trigger.

Much better price I would say.

From what I read, there's no comparison to the samsung q70t (2020), which was what I was looking at. Blows the q70t out of the water.. so basically I got a much better one, and larger screen, for just a few bones more.

Okay - NOT FUNNY . . . A few weeks ago my Dell laptop computer "died", then the Google Xoom tablet, now the 46" Samsung TV is acting up (sound fuzzy - thankfully have a Samsung sound bar) and as of today the Cuisinart coffee maker is/has died (leaks - why wood shelving had to be replaced, with metal wire rack), so has the Kenmore microwave . . . Last, but not the least, brand new battery for the smart phone isn't holding a charge and the tank on my MOD is wabbling (Yes, it is on correctly). . . What's next (rhetorical question) . . . NOT HAVING A GOOD DAY ! ! ! :-x
