Just curious, what percentage do you like to mix Banana Nut Bread at?

Dug out my old recipes and I mixed it at 5%. Later on I added 1% Bavarian Cream and 2% French Vanilla. Can't remember how good I thought it was but I used it for a long time. Then I changed it to 3% BNB with 3% TFA Banana. I don't do banana flavors any more.

Back then I relied on the TFA flavor list of suggested %. I think that list said 3 to 5%.

Oh dear lord. Today was just... My supervisor is wanting to meet with me over some stuff like my schedule change, which he left early... last week which he does a TON of IDK if he has some "Thing" going on, and whatnot. So my meeting did not happen. He then, painful MESSAGE by MESSAGE like wanting to reschedule it but it was not working. Tomorrow at noon "unless it was my lunch." Once we got to like THE WEEK FOLLOWING I was like, "Dude, listen, I don't use ah, much time on lunch. Honestly, with my dentures I drink a protein shake but I feel as though this coordinating our schedules has gone on longer than several meetings we may have had? I really don't slow down for lunch that much (uninterrupted note time man) while I TOTALLY acknowledge the need and reality for the fact that I need time for myself, like to uh, smell the deer or....whatever, I promise I can and will do this WONDERFUL self-care event perhaps later in the day while YOU are all busy and whatnot.. I just... I cannot go two weeks out on this.

Anyway he scheduled me. But it was a labor of SUCK.

I'm so tired. I really want to listen to our future bi:censored:h I mean female president debate Mike Pense who will refuse to enter the stage without his wife and after the shenanigans I have heard about politicians like I am not sure I blame him.

But yeah it should be thrilling or utterly dull. I want to listen to the first half hour but that is never the best half hour.

Day two of 4 am was brutal since any and all note taking time was like uh, taken up with "Scheduling with Patrick (From Sponge Bob) as my husband now likes to call him so I had to stay 2 hours late to do my notes. I mean day 3 of new habit is "make or break" but I am not even sure I CAN OMG.

We will see. One lead foot in front of the other frozen foot as one might say. Bleugh.
70 ,message? Maye something exciting happened. I got my flavors and have not even opened them sigh. It would make me want to mix and I would a) make terrible errors and b) I need to conserve my strength. Etc.

there is just no way I will be able to afford it.
Depending on the talent of your medical provider and the nature of your income, he may be able to apply for a "hardship" extension and sometimes get a little more time out of it. He would have to document the side effects you get from the less awesome medication and why it benefits you. Depending on the drug company they may extend.

Gah. These things are horrible. My copay on my Amitza was like horrendous and when I was on Medicare they wouldn't cover it, so I went with a hardship exemption. If you have a "new class new drug" you get GOUGED to heck and back for ah "development costs."

Hmph. Pharmaceutical lobby more like. I hope you can get it.

Remember that when anyone says how great the ACA is.

Uh... the ACA is SO great, Obama deserves to have a municipal library named after him in his presidential office and achievements. One from last century, that has been bulldozed, set on fire, and long buried underground.

It was also DELIBERATE on his part. Break medicine SO badly the next Prez who freaking was a commie ....... (I am sorry my healthcare during the BEST of times is NOT CHEAP.)

He thought America's spirit might be you know, broken. DO NOT EVEN GET ME started on the controlled substances act. Too bad Trump went for that one. Let us not forget that uh, our prisons are sort of empty. Great freaking way to fill the prisons with bored housewives who are all of a sudden "cut off' or pain patients who then get Methadone but committing a bunch of crimes first.

I'm not arguing opiates are not overprescribed, but as far as *I* am concerned, Obama's true gift (Besides hypnotism) was finding solutions FIFTY BILLION TIMES WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM.

Of course in his heart he was not a US citizen (I probably have more patriotism than HE did and I naturalized) and the chip on his shoulder was INCREDIBLY visible. He really wanted to govern a new Europe and a Hitlarian one at that. He really reminded me of a female hygiene project. If he had not been elected we might not be where we are now.

I probably would have hated him MORE if he was a white guy actually. I tend to get along with Black dudes, but he was... just INSUFFERABLE.

Also @Uncle I am happy for the benefits you get from having medicaid and mediare. I have several friends who really benefitted from the ACA and that was the ONE thing I was happy for. May of them benefitted immensely and I do think we all deserve good care. I have usually worked and have been personally grateful for JUST medicare (never qualified for the "aid") part.

BUT INDIVIDUAL INSURANCE companies can negotiate for reduced prices for medications with the drug company and the GOVERNMENT who might have MORE negotiating power (and we know the drug companies will get by, I mean look at other countries.)

So, anyone on both Medicare/aid is COSTING THE AVERAGE TAXPAYER a TON of money and it unduly causes hardship to healthy persons that work. It is DONE because the government and the medication companies are in each other's pocket.

If you are going to CREATE a program that utilizes PRIVATE INSURANCE as PART of the network, but not all of it? IT should be a level playing field. Medicare plans SHOULD be able to negotiate, etc., and everything else.

BUT NO. We cannot have REAL equality. I don't even mind CARRYING the truly ill and indigent. There have times that has had happened for me. BUT I don't want to pay FIFTY times more for YOUR no copay meds, when I am often paying A TON more in PRIVATE insurance copays of MY OWN.

I need to save some money to die myself, so I'm able to not burden my child/taxpayers.

The Obama years were some of the worst of my life. When I look back and evaluate my life, I consider that in a president. I was working a 70 hour (getting paid 40 hour) job on a tribe I desperately wanted to leave and I have never gone to more interviews where people were GAGGING to hire me and I would then say.... That is a fair salary but I carry my family's insurance I am going to need 30K more a year to just break even.... and they couldn't.

It is one time where I really wondered who was being "harmed" and "helped."

Anna

For a pretty rich guy, Obama sure hated the middle class/other rich.

FWIW - Over 30 years, I've seen health insurance price increases for businesses. It's horrible. For many years, the proposed increases were 15-20% each year (like compounded interest rates, it adds up). That was painful for a company with 100+ employees, it's an expensive benefit. We had to keep adjusting what was covered, changing insurance companies etc. to try to minimize the impact but maintain a solid level of coverage for employees. There were a few years of 'only' 10%, which was still much higher than inflation.

I'm now working for a small business and the rates are set by the state and all we can do is pick the plans. This year, if the company stayed with the plan that we had, it was a 30% increase . We switched to a higher high deductible plan, for a mere 12% increase. Employees pay a portion of the cost. It hurts as no one got raises, while the deductible goes up, the copay goes up, and the portion paid went up a little as well - but the company is still paying more so it hurts the bottom line there too. There's a reason insurance companies are showing record profits. :-x

FranC, before you ask ;) - tomorrow is my physical. I'll be poked, prodded, have a few vials of blood drawn, and get my flu shot. Hopefully, I'll walk out with my prescriptions renewed for another year. :thumb:

The plastic sleeve that fits over the hopper of my ancient Cuisinart (a graduation gift from my parents in 1978) broke a couple of years ago. I searched and searched for a replacement to no avail. I was very sad: everything else about the machine was fine; it still worked like a champ. I couldn't bear to junk it. And now you have given me hope: if Cuisinart could help you out, maybe they can come through for me, too. A plastic sleeve for a forty-two-year-old food processor? Why not?
You lost me with your terminology. I'm gonna guess by "sleeve" you meant the flat top which fits over the mixing/cutting chamber into which the blade fits.
I'm too lazy at the moment to go into the kitchen to look at mine, but from memory if you look at the bottom there should be a sticker with the model number and maybe serial number. You should have this handy when you call them.
    Definitely call them.
It's amazing when you think about it, that an electrical appliance still works great over all this time. Just, as you might expect thinking about it, the mechanical pieces break. Let us know how you make out.

I would suggest mixing it solo first. Then decide what you might want to add.
I didn't want to say that (because I often do SFTs first and many others don't) but I agree. It is one of the flavors I really want to try (so many people seem to love it) Adding something "creamy" sounds great, but give it a try solo first. I have a pre-made BNB and love it (BTW, I also have a pre-made peanut butter banana I mix with it and it's so good) Hoping to re-create that with DIY flavors.

    I'd like your opinions
so I have a recipe site running, a work in progress, nothing sophisticated like elr but it works more or less
(sorry not sharing link as per ecf's rules but just want your opinions)
do you think that in a recipe it is necessary to list
amount to make, nic base info, pg/vg %, target nic mg?
Or should it just be the flavorings and %

so for example how it is now, which to me seems to be overkill...I don't think all the other stuff is really needed other than the flavorings

I think just the flavorings and %s are enough.
