Think I got my cloudy Lemon Cake mix figured out.

I made some this morning with just PG and LC. Clear as glass once the bubbles went away. Then I added some VG. It was still clear. Then I added some more LC and it turned cloudy. I did that to test out the theory @JCinFLA posted about adding the VG last. Looks like that is the explanation for the cloudiness.

Still not sure why my blueberry LC wasn't cloudy. I normally put the base in the bottle first then add the flavors. But maybe I did it the other way round that time. Maybe the blueberry flavoring has enough PG in it to stabilize the lemon. It doesn't bother me any more though now I know what causes the cloudiness. I was worried I had a bad bottle of flavoring or a dodgy batch of base. Maybe I'll try some more small bottles. Put the LC in the bottle first and add base. Or make an extra bottle of base with just PG and nic for making recipes with LC. Then I can mix the base and flavorings and add the VG on top.

When I started mixing, I remember Bill’s magic vapor telling me to always add flavors first and nic last. It’s become such a habit that I don’t even think about it now.

    I’ve always done flavors first.

I’m a little late to the music conversation but I really liked Joe Bonamassa’s live at Carnegie Hall album. He’s also got some other really good blues songs. He also plays in Black Country Communion.

I kind of forgot about OSDIY. I was meaning to check them out. I know some folks on here really like a few of their flavorings. If I recall, they have a blueberry flavor that gets high praise.
It's hard for me to order from them (even though they have some really good stuff) because I only make small orders but I really like a few of their flavors ("one shots")

I do not know what year you grew up. The 70's in So Cal was me. MY brother was Rick Haack, the OG drummer for the band Quiet Riot, before they became famous. Randy Rhoads (later joined Ozzie) grew up nearby and was in my living room daily as they jammed. I also saw a lot of bands, Van Halen, Guns and Roses at various Hollywood clubs. MY brother on the ladder. Randy Rhoads in the middle
Very interesting story (kind of speechless actually... just a Wow moment) I'm in Ca too ;)

Just curious... the only sweetener I have turned out to be EM (I don't use sweeteners much anyway) It tastes fine (no issue with that) but it does mute other flavors (was not happy with that) someone else said they mostly vape unflavored now (with some EM) I do that between changing flavors in my tanks so might as well try some EM too while I'm at it. Any thoughts on EM in general? I was trying to use it to boost sweetness in a recipe with caramel and that really backfired. Maybe I could just do a cotton candy thing (blue raspberry) just for fun?

I like Disturbed, Linkin Park and can even get down with some Rob Zombie if the mood is right

If you like Linkin Park, do you like 311? I love em, and to me, is similar but more light-hearted. They have more of a reggae thing going on, but heavy guitars and so funky. And 311 is still making new music, sounds great to me.

OKAY - Just want to say, that although people say age is just a number - "My" body is much much older than I am . . .

    Dang whipper snappers.... ;)

Then again, if I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself!

    So - AGREE . . .

Yaas! His earliest stuff was heavy on the dancehall style of reggae that I grew up with and I became a big fan then... My favorite rappers are Mos Def and Method Man but I like most of the earlier rappers... I even listen to Tekashi 69.
I do not have a wide range in rap, but one guy I have gotten into in the last few years is Vince Staples. I just like his sound on most things. Mos Def is cool.

I had my eye procedure yesterday. It went well, but all was done under local eye drops. No good stuff. I got a script for tramadol for pain, which only kinda helps. Same as my leftover Norco from the wisdom tooth extraction. It kinda helps. The eye feels irritated and watery like a bad contact attack. I also got two prescriptions for eyedrops, one antibiotic and one steroid. I have a bandage contact in, which means I can't wear my regular contact for two weeks. I go for follow up in two weeks.
I hope a good follow up report makes up for all the discomfort. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with it.

I really like Volbeat. They have a very unique sound. And Metallica is my all time favorite band, since I was about 12 years old. They were basically my introduction to harder and heavier music.
At 12 years old to 20 Metallica was one of my favorite groups. But I'm one of those jerks that thinks they changed too much and got way too commercial sounding when they cut their hair. I will always love old thrash metal, which Metallica was for quite some time. Ride the Lightning, Kill 'em All, others, great stuff. 80s thrash metal was something else, still find new stuff I never heard and get into it.

I guess that's one of the more amazing concepts to me about music, there is a seemingly limitless variety and amount out there. Music is like emotion, we all have it.
