I don't do many lemon flavors, really just that Lemon Meringue Tart and Capella Lemon Lime.
The LMT was a nice combination with the cheesecake, I used it at about 4%. Added a light lemon Trix kind of flavor.
I wasn’t able to vape lemon for years so I’m going easy on it. It was never a big fav. but I do like it still.

It's definitely got some sweetness. I only use it in one mix with a blood orange and Sour Wizard FA.
I'm actually vaping that mix right now, in fact. Sour Citrus. It's not very sour really though. It's one I made 500mls of twice over the last 6 months.

Think I got my cloudy Lemon Cake mix figured out.

I made some this morning with just PG and LC. Clear as glass once the bubbles went away. Then I added some VG. It was still clear. Then I added some more LC and it turned cloudy. I did that to test out the theory @JCinFLA posted about adding the VG last. Looks like that is the explanation for the cloudiness.

That theory is just 1 of Bill's ideas, tips, etc. that I've learned from in the past. Even before I actually started DIY, I spent many hours reading his posts in the TFA Flavoring thread and his Blog. I still refer back to all of his recipes that I saved (before they were removed from dropbox), to his Blog, and to notes I took from his TFA thread posts. I still do his 100DTT on any/every new recipe I try. His freely shared knowledge definitely helped to make DIY more fun and successful for me, and likely for many others, too.

I read a lot from Bill years ago and even tried a couple of his recipes. I ended up going my own way but will always appreciate what Bill freely shared with the vaping community.

Have you tried CNV lemon cream wafer? It's really good.

Yea, I don't make his recipes as written, as far as flavoring %, for probably the last 4 years. When I do try one, or use 1 for inspiration for a new one...I cut the % shown by half or even more for some potent flavorings. His info on suggested ratios of main flavoring, creams/blenders, and additives in particular types of recipes and bases is still helpful, IMO, especially for newbies. It gives them some guidelines or ideas to get them going in the right direction at least.

I always have a cheesecake going. It looks like I can vape lemon again so maybe I’ll do a lemon cheesecake.
When I get my new flavors in a couple days I was planning on mixing up a cheesecake recipe. From what I've gathered, you mix your cheesecake base first and then add flavorings like fruit later on?

I mean if you want to....but no you don't have to....mix it all together at the same time...why wait?

I remember reading his stuff a lot. When I first started mixing I knew nothing. Bill's tips on ratios and additives and so forth were like a first foot on the ladder.

I don’t always mix my base ahead. Since you are just getting your flavors you would have no need to mix the base first. The only reason for mixing any base ahead is to put it away to steep. Did that make sense?

What I was going to say :)

If the "base" needs a long steep, making a large quantity withOUT the extra flavors will let you try many different extras more easily. Depending on the extras, once the "base" is aged, the new mix with it may be snv.

    Happy Freya Day :)

Sort of. I was thinking it might be a good idea to make a larger size of base (like 120ml for example). And then I would be able to use that base for multiple cheesecake type recipes. I kind of thought that was the idea behind mixing the base by itself for steeping.

That was kind of my thought process.

Where can I find Bill’s recipes?

I was looking at my desktop icons the other day to clean up some things and lo and behold I found a document with some recipes. I vaguely remember copying them. I think they are possibly from ejuicemeup.com. I use elr now and deleted ejuicemeup from my computer. I haven’t had a chance to look at them closely.

@Shadav do you know if there is a squonk genius in the states? I found this one. Cthulhu Squonk Genius Adapter 7.1ml(Black) | Vape Store US Has anyone ever ordered from this place? It intrigues me. I know you’ve mentioned it before and I just saw a recent post from you about it.

I took a vacation day today. Too many numbers and too much work lately. I just need a break from it all. I’m cleaning house and cutting grass this weekend. I’m way behind and it shows. After working for 9 hours, helping my son with school in the evenings as he needs a boost from me everyone now and then, and Mom and Dad...I just run out of time and energy for chores.

And I’ve been enjoying horror movies every evening. I’ve had a blast with Halloween this year. Son and I watch them. So much fun. The Last House on the Left is a fav of mine due to its realness. We watched The Exorcist. The Crazies was excellent. Lots of movies and I’m not real big on watching movies as I’m always up and down doing stuff. It’s hard for me to sit still for two hours.

Yes it is but since you are just getting your flavors I don’t think you want to wait a month for your base to steep.
