Just my opinion, but maybe leave out the EM (you could always add it later if needed)
Yeah, I’ve not tried any of these yet. I’m too tired to rewick and dry burn. But I did top off an empty tank with the vanilla bourbon eggnog. But I love EM in recipes actually. It’s good to me. My EM (I had two big bottles of it and one is almost empty) I bought in 2013! Old stuff but it’s still good. I like what it adds to recipes.

I test all mixes on rda's first. IMO nothing is better, or easier, for testing mixes or SFT's. With an rda it is super quick and easy to yank a wick and pop in another for testing.

I will send you a couple RDA's if you want them. I have your info! ;)

Last year @JCinFLA pointed folks to a sale at eCig-City for the Council of Vapor Royal Hunter RDA's. They were between 0.55 and 0.75 cents each plus they threw in another for 0.01 cent. I snagged a bunch.

I've never used any of them because, well, I have many other RDA's that I prefer. I bought the Royal Hunter's to give away.

PoV has a solid review.

I have an RDA or two which I haven't used in years.
But, I've always been confused about using them for testing. Does changing the wick without cleaning the RDA allow you to taste a "pure" new juice? Don't the the two or more juices mix and affect the purity of the flavors?

I used to use EM quite a bit. I don’t see it in many recipes any more.

I was thinking I was the only one who didn’t like the sceptre. Mine leaks so I put it in the stash. I’ll use it eventually. I just didn’t see the hype on that one. I’m glad I didn’t go hog wild stocking for it. I prefer the vape on my leaky pm80 over the sceptre. I have too much stuff.
That's interesting. I don't think the flavor is as good as I expected.
But, mind hasn't leaked a single drop. I've got a couple of Voopoo Airs which are much more prone to leaking.

The sceptre is well liked for many. I need major air and major DL vapor to be satisfied. I vape a lot and I don’t think the sceptre liked my style. I should try a new pod but meh...maybe one day.

Yes, of course, but does it matter... maybe not. Ideally, change the wick for each flavor test. Another option (even for drop-in coil tanks) just vape some unflavored between.

The truth is... my list was mostly for me (but wanted to share it with others) Don't care anymore... it's my personal reference... so be it. carry on

I don't remember mentioning anything at all, positive or negative, about your list in my post. But, as you say...carry on...whatever floats your boat. ;)

I just pull the wick, dry burn briefly, blow on the coil, and then rewick. Seems to do the trick.

When I test new flavors or mixes I do a dry burn on the coil and put a fresh wick in each RDA. If I have 2 to test that's 2 RDA's.

Sometimes I will use just one RDA and then in-between flavors I'll remove the wick, dry burn the coil to get rid of any of the last juice (especially needed for claptons, aliens or other exotic coils IMO) and clean the inside of the RDA out with a moist paper towel, kleenex or toilet paper. A fresh wick. Then I'm good to go with the next mix or SFT. It's pretty quick for me.

IMO as long as you dry burn your coil in-between flavors, or mixes, and as long as there isn't a pool of the last juice in the bottom of your RDA you may not taste any of the last juice. A fresh wick and you're good to go.

Alternatively you could leave the wick in the RDA, and depending on how high the % of flavoring was of the last juice tested, vape some flavorless juice until you no longer taste any remnants of the previous juice and then switch to your next juice to test.

That is easy with mixes that are not heavy %'s with flavors for example. IMO with vastly different flavors it may take too long to get rid of the last flavor and it would be quicker to just go with a fresh wick.

    Hope that helps.

Sounds unusual doesn’t it? I’m excited about that one.

    Candy Cane Cheesecake

    3.00% Candy Cane (FW)
    2.00% Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TPA)
    2.00% EM/Ethyl Maltol, 10% (TPA)
    4.00% French Vanilla Creme (TPA)
    2.00% Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
    1.00% Vanillin 10% (PG) (TPA)

    Flavor total: 14%
Let us know how it turns out. Very unique recipe mixing candy cane with a cheesecake.

Well,I’m no good at describing flavors but I really like the Macadamian Nut. I can see it being a #2 fav with Hazelnut being #1. Nut at 4% is too much. I think 2% will be a good place for it.
I love Macadamia nuts in RL. Haven't tried a macadamia nut in vape juice yet. It sounds like it would be good, but IDK.

I'm sorry, think I missed which one you're using. I just looked at BCF and they have VT Macadamia Nut and WF Macadamian Nuts.

And do you mean using Macadamia nut at 2%?

Last question :D, what recipe in Zazie's blog?

    Thanks

@ShowMeTwice, VT Mangosteen seems an interesting one I've picked up a while back for a flavour.

Must try a SFT mix soon as it seems a really nice interesting flavour that's really hard to describe, kind of peaches and vanilla are the closest things that come to mind.

I can do coconut in small amounts.

Back when I was buying ready made juice there was a coconut I really liked, can't remember what brand it was. Maybe VV. I've tried mixing coconut since then and never managed to produce anything I liked. Same thing has happened with several other flavors. Not sure why. Maybe I just never hit the right recipes. Maybe my taste buds changed over time since I quit smoking. I think early on I liked anything with a really strong flavor since that was all I could taste.

Nowadays I keep two bottles of each of my mixes. As soon as a bottle runs out I mix it so it can steep while I vape the other bottle. Except for fruit because I reckoned that was better fresh so I only keep one bottle. It's one of my favorites and my wife's as well. Tonight I ran out of fruit and went to mix another bottle, discovered I was out of two of the three fruits I use in it. Time for another flavor order, right after the sales all ended.

One of my original Picos seems to be on the way out. The screen has faded so much I need the magnifier to read it, and now the 510 pin is getting dodgy. I have to poke around and pop the pin up when I reinstall a tank. A couple of others have faded screens.

I just mixed up a recipe from ELR called OMFG V2 with Cap Double Watermelon and TPA Juicy Peach at 10% each. We'll see!

I didn't like this mix that much, I felt it was too strong so I got the Scepter pod halfway down and filled it with my cucumber/cantaloupe mix. Much better!
