May be a different cause but I had the same thing happen to a Pico last week. Tried all sorts and it came back to life when I cleaned the positive connection inside the mod. Similar layout to the Solo, the positive is down the bottom of the hole where the battery goes. I got a set of 4 scraper pens way back that were recommended here. I used the brass one on the Pico. I've had a few problems with dirty connections and those pens are just the job.
These are the ones I have. Are yours the same?

I think @markfm recommended them if I’m not mistaken. I haven’t seen him lately. Hope everything is ok.

Alabama is destroying Arkansas. I’m just lazy on this rainy day, especially after I ate four cheese ravioli and garlic bread. My solo won’t work. I don’t feel like fiddling so I just pulled out another one. I’ve been using it less than a year. :?: I expected the rugged solo to last longer than that.

Does it turn on at all?

I tried my Solos when I got them and then put them away. I’ve been waiting for my Aegis mini with internal battery to die before breaking out a Solo. So far it’s shown little indication of dying.

I’ve had two minis in rotation since I reviewed them a long time ago. They seem bulletproof.

Thanks, Fran. I couldn't remember what I had read a while ago.

@Diver9543 mentioning the Ares 2 reminds me that I apparently broke one of mine. One of the screws that holds the coil in place no longer appears to screw in all the way. So the coil won't stay in place. I noticed when I first built on it, I had a horrible time trying to unscrew it the first time. The LE's didn't cost me anything (contest win), but it is still pretty disappointing. I use the Ares 2 all the time.
At least you now have a spare clear glass. I knocked mine off a counter and I'm having to use the smoked glass. Really hard to see when filling the tank.
Unless using an alcohol based flavor, then you might want to leave it uncapped for a couple days so that component can evaporate out.
There is no alcohol in it, just creams.

I know. So far so good. I'm sure you remember the purple kit you gifted me. It's been in use since the day I got it. Works perfect.

It is. A Kroma-A. I don't see what folks have against internal battery mods. I've had great luck with all but the old 20w iSticks. ( All my bigger iSticks still work fine)

I agree... yes, my main mods are removable battery but still using my first "real mod" (Innokin EZ-Watt) still going strong (and I have used an abused it)

I only have one internal battery mod. A Vaporesso Tarot nano that I won here last year. It's a nice little mod for out-and-about. Pairs nicely with a KFL19 2ml RTA on top. Every other RTA makes it top heavy. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts before the battery dies.
