Good morning mixers. Just another day at work. I emailed River supply yesterday to see if they would follow up on my order with USPS but they said it was out of their hands once USPS had it. I figured they could call and see why my package was at the local sort facility for four days. Usually it's in and out of there the same day and if anything sits like this one did then it's usually lost. I then added delivery instructions on the website. I don't know if that helped or not but now it says it's out for delivery today. With all the talk about the white coffee, I have really been wanting to try it but my order has been taking forever to ship.
You should be to contact USPS yourself if there's a tracking # but good luck our mail has been crazy for weeks. Every time I order something I pray it ships with UPS.

    Good morning ladies and gentlemen,

We were at the funeral of our neighbor Bjarne, he turned 77. I live in a small village, get hurt when one of ours leaves.
Cold winter day in Norway too, guess it was well below 14˚F there.

I've had packages sit at the sorting center for days before it hits the local post office. Once you get the out for delivery notification, you're good. You'll get it today, assuming your local post office is as good as mine. All the problems I've had with USPS, not once has it been due to the local gals.

When you mentioned trying your coffee mix, I assumed that you had ordered the white coffee. I ordered a 2oz bottle thinking that I would probably like it. I can send some if you change your mind and decide you want to try it. That is if my order actually arrives as promised today.
No, the 2 I used to mix a lot with were FA Expresso and Cappuccino so that’s what I tried. I couldn’t vape the Expresso but ok with the Cap. I would actually like to try the White Coffee but it’s so iffy I’m not willing to buy it. I’ll take you up on that offer.

Good news here in Indiana, they reduced the vaccine age from 75 to 70 yesterday. I went to the website and booked an appointment for next Monday at a local hospital. Took about 15 minutes. Since it's happening in hospitals they have very strict mask rules. There were some problems with anti-maskers early on but they cracked down hard, they were given a choice of putting masks on or being removed from the premises.

There's been a bunch of vaccination horror stories going around from Florida and New York and other places, but the Covid response in Indiana was pretty good all the way through, and the vaccine rollout has been really smooth. My daughter the nurse got hers a few weeks ago. Not like the summer when she was working in a Covid recovery ward with one mask a week, but that was from federal incompetence and not Indiana's fault.

I'm so happy for you! Mom and Dad had a chance to get their vaccinations through the County last week. Before I could even call for them to make an appointment, they had 1.1 million calls in less than 24 hours which caused phone issues. They were out of appointments in less than 24 hours. So Mom and Dad will have to wait. There are more people than there are shots.

Fran, I was going to mix on volume, but if weight is what you use then I’ll do it too. Stepping process is probably what I was thinking about, closed or open?
I mix on volume with no issues. I've always said if you make small batches like 10 - 15 ml then a scale would be worth it. I make no less than 100 ml so volume works for me and it's easy.

I do the same with my flavors and VG/PG. Also have my nic freezer in the basement.
Me too...all stored in the basement. I've got some flavoring down there that was bought in 2013 and it's still fine as frog hair. But this is a honking 1 liter bottle of flavoring that will last me probably well over 15 years, and it's my absolute fav, so I want it to last as long as possible.

I have called before and it usually does no good. I was thinking that maybe if someone from a company that ships a lot of stuff called on it that they might have better luck.

This is the same sorting center that screwed up my flavor pack order from bcf twice. First time I got six out of 21 flavors and a tube of toothpaste in the opened package.

Same here. Apart from recipe experiments I always make 100mls. I use a 100ml cylinder for base and 10ml cylinders for flavors.

I got scales years ago to weigh menthol crystals. I did try using the scales to mix small quantities of new recipes but it didn't go too well. Part of the problem was a lot of my flavors are in bottles without drip tops. I kept pouring in too much of a flavor. If you do that with a measuring cylinder you can always pour a little back in the bottle.

Don't believe the "horror stories" about FL.
Vaccine distribution is going very well. We are 3rd in the country.
65 and up for now. Many drive through locations and Publix grocery stores went on line on Mon. for vaccines, as well as all the typical county health sites.
People are flying in from out of state to get the shot.

I still have 1 bottle of nic in my freezer from 2013. Saving it as a test to see how long nic lasts. I recently opened a bottle from 2014 and it's still super clear. No off tastes. The biggest bottles of flavoring I've bought are the 16oz ones from BCF. But like you, they are favorites that work well in many different recipes.

My flavorings just sit on a shelf in my office. I only had one flavor that went off. TFA Ginger Ale. It was a 4oz bottle and I didn't use much. It started off dark colored but after about 3 years it was almost black and getting a bad taste.

    @DLKnives, Happy Anniversary!
I put in an order for a couple more of the Ares 2 LE tanks by Innokin. I am really hooked on the Ares 2 tanks and want more in the stash box. I also ordered some replacement glass for them since I have already managed to break one of the glass and had to use the smoke colored glass and don't like that it is hard to see the liquid inside them. I hope the order gets here quicker than the last time.
Other than a Dr appt this afternoon, I have nothing special planned for today. Stay safe and well.

All my original nic was bought in 2013 and stayed unfrozen for one year in the basement before I hazmatted myself up (LOL!) to bottle it to freeze. It's what I currently mix with...and I have since retired my hazmat ways. HAHA! I was afraid of the nic...but now I see how ridiculous I was being.

That's good to hear. There were segments on TV showing elderly people there sitting in cars and lawn chairs overnight to get first in line when they opened after they went to a first come first served system. They interviewed people who had waited 8 hours then got turned away because they ran out. I guess they got the process sorted out. We are doing something that has never been done before in this country. Like the appointment website in Indiana. It works but it's primitive and hard to navigate. Guess they had to set it up in a hurry.

Yeah, I remember my first time rebottling 100mg nic. I used a large plastic tub to work in. I made wooden frames to hold the bottles so they couldn't tip over and spill. Goggles and respirator and gloves. Windows open. Run to the bathroom if I got a drop on my skin.

If you do that with a measuring cylinder you can always pour a little back in the bottle.
I use one 60 ml syringe with a large size needle. I never draw the liquid through the needle...I always take the plunger out and pour/squirt into the syringe with my finger over the needle then replace plunger and I'm good to go. I'll pour nic and all flavorings all in one syringe one at a time and squirt into my bottle. I end with the VG and I have to do it in two steps since it's typically around 88 ml of VG. I never wash my syringe as the VG keeps the plunger working correctly. I have found if I wash the syringe, the plunger starts sticking. It's just so easy and fast to me. I line up all my flavorings with cap off. As I use them I put them to the back of the line and place the cap on them so I know I've already used it.

However, when I make 200 ml I use a beaker to measure the VG.

But however we all do it, it's all good as long as we are not smoking.
