100 mg/ml scared me. I left it in my garage untouched for a year back in 2014. Then when I got the courage I wore long sleeves and pants, a mask and gloves, by an open window, when my son was not home, and I cut it down to 50 mg/ml to store. I still have a healthy respect for it, but I’m not as scared now.

It was in 2014 for me also, I think around June before I tried working with it, my first batch I had bought in December of 2013. I do remember I also had the long sleeves, rubber gloves, masks, and goggles. I kept working with the 100MG though. I think I ditched all the safety gear after the 1st or 2nd month.

Food for thought...
So...say there is this company that accidentally ships a consumer pure nic in error.
Said company says...that's ok, keep it.
Really ?
REALLY ?
Think about that.

FWIW--I totally agree. Didn't want to elaborate in the open forum, especially since it's against the rules, but, dear God. Un-:censored:-believable. Keep it????

Handling and Personal Protection
Nicotine solutions should not be handled without the proper training and personal protection.
Personal protection includes: Eye protection or faceshield, respirator, liquid/chemical resistant gloves, liquid/chemical resistant coveralls or apron, liquid/chemical resistant shoe covers or boots.
Additional recommended safety equipment includes: Fume hood, liquid/chemical resistant catch basin, emergency shower and eyewash station.

Minimum recommended Personal Protection for Nicotine solutions up to 50mg/ml include: Liquid/chemical resistant gloves, safety glasses or goggles, particle mask for nose and mouth.

Minimum recommended Personal Protection for Nicotine solutions from 50mg/ml up to 100mg/ml include: Liquid/chemical resistant gloves, safety glasses or goggles, particle mask for nose and mouth, liquid/chemical resistant sleeves or coverall.

Minimum recommended Personal Protection for Nicotine solutions above 100mg/ml include: Liquid/chemical resistant gloves, faceshield and head cover, organic vapor respirator, liquid/chemical resistant coveralls, liquid/chemical resistant shoe covers or boots.

Except for the respirator, I'll be following all of these as close as possible. You will also note that a lot of this equipment is technically required for 100mg/ml, yet nobody ever suits up for that. I'll be fine, guys. I've worked in a lab with chemicals before I went to med school.
I think it's just that we're all concerned for you and your safety. :)

    Somewhere between here and there
Good evening in here. I'm on my way to watch Season 4 of "The Magicians". What a trippy but good series.

I’ve watched the entire series and really enjoyed it.

I honestly am not sure what I would do, just the fumes can kill you, I would be terrified. I would most likely demand that they take it back. :|

I would call the company and request they send a hazmat team to take this back. Two liters??? To a retail customer without a lab to handle it in properly?

I get a lot of private messages from people on Facebook. A lot of them are looking for Diamondback Terrapins, so I always chat with strangers or people who are in some of the reptile groups I am in.

But 1 out of 10 of them are weird. Like this one from just the other day--

The robot wanted me to call the number provided; it didn't ask me to supply any information during the call it initiated. If the scammers knew for sure that all calls placed to the number would reach them, then, sure, the attempt to steal could proceed. But, if Mr. Thiessen's number has been cloned, as yours was, and I reached him, the scammers can't get a-scamming. It seems very inefficient.
They’re calling thousands upon thousands of people all at once. They only need a handful to call the supplied number and give their cc, etc to make their money that hour. It would be like going into a casino and using all the slot machines at once. You only need one to hit jackpot to get rich.
Think of my number like a mask. It hides their identity while pretending to be me on the caller id. They don’t have access to my phone, data, etc. But, to you, it would appear to be me calling.

She seems nice and very normal. I don't see the problem.

I am washing everything and rinsing very well. Also, I used a dripper to try everything the first time.
It’s baffling... I was trying to think of something else since you have been so methodical about the juice part.

Our institution's email had been hacked in the past and I (all of us) started receiving emails coming seemingly from our coworkers with clickbaits. I almost clicked on some of those--I really believed they were coming from trusted friends/coworkers.

Yep! That's why I was especially surprised by the following. Also, I don't know anyone who has a fume hood in their house. :?:

Except for the respirator, I'll be following all of these as close as possible.

I just called River Supply and spoke with Jessica, the super nice lady who helped me before. I was right, she said we could just call it even. I ran the numbers in the calculator, and I have enough to last me until I'm 95.

I definitely plan on being careful. I'm going to order some gowns and gloves from Amazon. Fortunately, I have 2 spare 32 oz glass bottles and I guess I squeeze 2 more bottles in my freezer.
There’s instructions online on turning a stove hood vent into a fume hood enclosure. It won’t be as tight as in the lab obviously, but it adds a layer of safety to the decanting. I have a kevlar lab coat ( acid safe) if you want to borrow it.
