The Superstitions Associated with Horseshoes

It is said that finding a horseshoe by sheer luck is an extremely lucky event, on the other hand if you were to buy one, the luck wouldn't be present at all. Horseshoes that were cast from the near hind leg of a grey mare and contain seven nail holes are particularly lucky.

.
Finding this was sheer luck. I have a 16 foot long herb bed i just built and put in place. It was just under an inch too close to my orchard bed, so I needed to remove some sod/soil and move the bed out further. Just removing that bit of soil allowed me to find that horseshoe. I consider that lucky. If the bed was perfectly distanced from my orchard bed, I would not have found that.. and likely would have been buried forever under our future concrete patio. It appears there are 8 nail holes.. but either way, I think it's really cool. I wonder what else is buried in my yard? A week or so ago, I found a railroad train track plate. Last year it was an ancient padlock. And of course i've found odds and ends, marbles, whatnot. Pieces of license plates

I vaped way too much coffee back in the old days and I got burnt out on it. Just more recently getting back into it and so far so good. I’ve tried a couple of the new coffee flavors but go right back to my old favorites.

I once found a 30 yo dog tag.

Be sure to hang that shoe upside down so the luck doesn't run out. :D

@Butch This is a recipe by @uthinkofsomething I mixed it awhile back but the Espresso is too strong/burnt to me. I plan to mix it again using FA Cappucinno which is my go to now.

    - Chocolate Joe -
    1% Chocolate Chunks WF
1% Dark Bean (Coffee Espresso) FA
    1% Fresh Cream FA
    0.5% Hazelnut FA
    1% Bourbon Vanilla FA
    1% Vienna Cream FA

When we cleaned out my grandmother’s home when she went to a nursing home I found a very old horseshoe. A bit rusty and old but I kept it. It’s in my garage with the opening pointed up so the luck won’t run out (as @rosesense already mentioned). I love that old thing...my Memaw was truly my second Mother and it reminds me of her every day when I pull in the garage.

I got SSA Dessert Chocolate and WF Cashew in one of my last BCF orders. Knuckle tested the cashew and it tastes like a cashew to me. Earlier I created and mixed up a cake recipe using those along with fluffy white cake and nanaimo bars.

@NolaMel, two drops of FLV Peanut butter in my 10ml ic tester was one drop too many. With more steeping the pb has gotten stronger than what I wanted. It's still good, but I want it sitting further back in the mix. Just a guess, but perhaps using it this low is what gives it more of a peanut versus a pb taste.

Next I will be making a new 10ml tester using FA Peanut with ic.

That's a weird ingredient for lemon heads... it's probably just there as a sweetener so just use one of your choice as you feel appropriate.
I'm going to try lemon 6% with marshmallow 4%, worse case I wind up dumping it.

What do you think of the Dessert chocolate?
After mixing my recipe I did drip some so I knew how it was off the shake. I do like it. It isn't a true chocolate as it has some cake in it. Dessert chocolate leans more towards a dark chocolate but it isn't a dark chocolate like VT DC is.

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being a milk chocolate and 10 being a true dark chocolate, I would rate SSA dessert choc as 4 or 5. Hope that makes sense. :)
