I'd have to change the beer to absolut, but I don't drink hardly at all anymore.

    Friday felicitations, frothers.

SMT is right and I am wrong. I've made my one mistake for the year. :D

It is nice to get that out of the way early in the year. :)

Seems our first summer of the year is over, back down to average temps rather than 10 - 15 over. They still have rain penciled in for the weekend.

This morning I was taking a look and the bottle of PG from Heartland I use shows a best by date of 8/20. The VG I'm using is a bottle of Essential Depot I purchased from Amazon a few months back.

If the VG is the only "new" part of your mixes, I'd suspect that might be the issue? Unless you have also changed the PG/VG ratio as well?

Fun stuff. I would have to double up on my Claritin just to walk into the Lowe's garden center.

Btw Hitt, what PG/VG brand do you use? Over the last couple of months I've noticed kind of a funky aftertaste after vaping. Almost like a film that forms on my mouth and teeth. Since I take my dental hygiene pretty seriously (electric toothbrush, flossing, Waterpik, etc.) I started wondering if it could be the PG and/or VG I was using. This morning I was taking a look and the bottle of PG from Heartland I use shows a best by date of 8/20. The VG I'm using is a bottle of Essential Depot I purchased from Amazon a few months back.

Sorry for the long winded question. I was thinking about buying a liter of each from Bulk Apothecary because I've heard good things.

The last pg I bought was from River Supply but I don't use much pg. I mostly mix 70vg. The VG I have is Essential Depot. I take my dental serious too after having some bone loss from smoking and not taking as good of care when I was younger. I have used an electric toothbrush for years. I hate flossing but found that I will do it with the floss picks. I also use a Waterpik and do three cleanings a year at the dentist instead of two. I just want to keep my real teeth as long as possible. I had braces as an adult and have to much invested to not take care of them.

So now that Hitt, Red, and Chanel have their ice creams...there may be hope for me to get it when BCF gets more stock. :w00t: Unless the lurkers bump me.

Oh, by the time BCF gets it back in stock we're all going to need more.:D

The PG is also pretty new. I only bought it a couple of months ago, which made the 8/20 expiration date pretty surprising to me. Before that I was using a small bottle of PG from Liquid Barn.

Most (all?) my PG and VG are from BCF. I add it to flavor orders to reach free shipping. Haven't noticed any "film", mix at (about) 65 PG. Yes, odd that "new" PG has an expired date. But some of mine is "past due", and is fine.

I considered BCF, but they are out of PG at the moment. I was thinking about trying Bulk Apothecary, but after some online searching, there are some mentions that theirs is Soy based and not Palm based. So I'm kind of on the fence about them.

I mean, pg is used to help preserve food and in a lot of skin care items and medications so I'd think it'd have a very long shelf life... lmfao honestly my gallon of pg I have is I don't even know how old since I hardly use pg, it's gotta be like 4 years maybe even more, though I do keep it in a cabinet so it stays in a dark cool place

[edit] trying to search does pg go bad and I can't find anything at all...just some folks suggesting a 1 - 2 year limit but it's a black hole of a google search, not a thing is popping up

[edit again] only thing I've found is that they say pg should be replaced if it turns a reddish or black color but that was in reference to using it in a heating/cooling system
so I'd say/think that as long as it's still a clear color (maybe slightly yellowish) it should still be fine...but if it turns dark (like a bad batch of nic) then it is bad....

My PG and VG are both quite old. I don't use that much VG though.

Yep, dental care is important. Thankfully I never smoked long enough to have any serious dental issues from it. But due to an accident injury several years back, I have a few dental implants. So I understand being invested in it.

About 23 years smoking for me and my warrant officer when I was in the army got me chewing red man leaf tobacco when we were in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf war. Thankfully I didn't stick with it for very long.

That's a long time smoking. At this point I've been a vaper long than I was a smoker. And I was never a pack a day person either. I think at my highest point, I might have been a half pack a day for a short while.
