I wish I could cook with wine. I have a autoimmune disease that attacks my liver. I never really consumed adult beverages before. I have Stage two cirrhosis of the liver confirmed by 2 biopsies.I usually give myself a very healthy dose of a mix of Jose Quervo & Hiram walker just after getting out of the dentist office. I might hurt but don't really care .! 'Bout 2 16 oz glasses works great ..........
As far as I know I'm healthy as a horse. My problem is a worn rusted out old chassis with an overload of Arthur Itis .......and as far as adult beverages I plead guilty to about a 12 pack of beer a month.

I dread the dentist because painkillers don't work on me
finally found a dentist that cared, he at first didn't believe me so he went ahead and shot me up then came back to start and noticed I was feeling everything so he stopped, shot me up some more and in a few other places that he thought might work came back a bit later to start again when he noticed I still felt everything and was like dang you weren't kidding...so then he just shoots up all of my mouth with the max that he can do so it's all tingly even though I can still feel it, it's not as bad...for some reason he just won't put me under (eh given my health issues I don't blame him but I wish he would)
so he just tries to work as quickly as possible
with my eldest daughter, she's autistic and schizophrenic...and terrified of needles so her first visit there when they had to do anything he put a mask on her nose and had her breath in some laughing gas
omg it was hilarious, she was so loopy....she kept saying there was an octopus on her nose....
the assistant stands there and keeps her occupied while he does what he has to do
poor thing had to have braces and that was not fun but they did a really good job making it as painless as they could, medicaid wouldn't cover the cost of braces even though they were medically needed (her 2 front teeth stuck straight out) and they noticed that when her wisdom teeth would come in her mouth was too small so they'd need to work on getting room....they worked with me with their own "insurance" so I could pay them in installments to get the work done.
my youngest on the other hand was another story...her principle ended up taking her to a dentist she knew and was able to get her taken care of (she called me before doing it to make sure I was ok with it because she knew we were having a hard time and plus medicaid had kicked us off again)
I think she saw enough of me and her sister with our dentist that she just wanted absolutely nothing to do with him at all
this other dentist office was aimed more towards kids so they had toys and even a tv they could watch while in the chair.

My mother was on Pred for Ulcerative colitis in 1985 while she was pregnant with my sister. Now doctors do not prescribe it to pregnant women. My sister is fine, but had a brain hemorrhage while being born that was attributed to the Prednisone. She had to be taken to a hospital an hour away that has an infant care ICU and was in an incubator for a week. No lasting complications though.It is a miracle drug but can be the devil.It indeed helps with inflammation.
I don’t remember. I didn’t see one on the site like I received so I’m wondering if the stab wood color is random. I doubt I’ll hear from them until at least next week but I really want to try it. I’ve been waiting almost a month for it to arrive.

Sorry, prednisone is not the kind of steroid to make you ripped, it just makes you fat. Most women don't want to take the bodybuilding steroids--testosterone.
Fran may remember this from the old BWB thread. I had lots of eye problems a few years ago. Doc put me on pred eyedrops. It really messed with my taste buds. Nothing tasted good for a long long time & lots of things still don't. I ended up completely losing the sight in my right ear ..........oh wait .........make that eye. And lost some vision on the left. I still have to carry those drop everywhere I go because when the right one gets irritated it is extremely painful. I use them at the first twitch in that eye.

Afraid I don't know. To me it's reasonably realistic, especially if used fairly gently.
Yikes! It is a double edged sword. When I have to take it I cannot stop bleeding. An example is a paper cut. Most folks will clot but I won't. PT/INR is good but prednisone and 6-mp makes me a bleeder.
Glad your sister had no lasting complications.
Prednisone made me fat! I gained 60 pounds hence why I stay on a low carb diet. I lost that weight but could handle to lose a few more pounds.
