Working on a chocolate hazelnut ice cream cone.
This what I've heard: (TFA) and (LB) ice creams are very popular BUT some people get the "peppery" taste (seems to be like cilantro... some like it, some taste "soap") For those that want to avoid the peppery taste, go with (SSA) and (WF)Tried TFA-VBIC as a single flavor at 4%, mixed 6 weeks ago. It has a bit of peppery taste, any vanilla ice cream recommendations?
I do not get pepper from LB. I do get it from Cap and TFAThis what I've heard: (TFA) and (LB) ice creams are very popular BUT some people get the "peppery" taste (seems to be like cilantro... some like it, some taste "soap") For those that want to avoid the peppery taste, go with (SSA) and (WF)
That's Ho-Hos. I never understood the names "Ding-dong" and Ho-Ho"... always seemed backwards to me (think male/femaleOk, a Yoo-Hoo is a little cake thing. Yes?
The two SSA’s make a great ice cream. This what I've heard: (TFA) and (LB) ice creams are very popular BUT some people get the "peppery" taste (seems to be like cilantro... some like it, some taste "soap") For those that want to avoid the peppery taste, go with (SSA) and (WF)
I haven’t bought those things in ages. Never remember the dang names. That's Ho-Hos. I never understood the names "Ding-dong" and Ho-Ho"... always seemed backwards to me (think male/female)
Trying a chocolate PB Ice Cream Cone I’m not real crazy about. I used 2% WF Crispy Wafer for the cone. The Wafer didn’t take over the mix but definitely needs to be lighter. I used the Wafer at 2% in several other mixes just fine. My thinking is the Ice Cream is a lighter flavor that can easily be run over by it’s cone or “base”. Another remix to do.

That's really great.My grandfather had a saying,
" Always listen when someone speaks, even the corner bum knows something you don't."
I’ll be interested in how that works out.I agree about the ssa ice cream. The raspberry I added to mine kind of drowned out the ice cream. I mixed a new sample of the blueberry but increased the ice cream percentages this time and lowered the blueberry. I’ll try to test it this weekend.
It’s been years. When was the last time you had a Twinkie? I think I haven’t since I was a kid.
Good plan. Which Black Note?I had to set up an Ether rta with Lemon Tart instead of the broken kayfun.
In the taste experience, you see what you pay for, but, it gets to do the job for a few weeks.
I'm in a great mood, Fran, that with Øsa meant everything to me.
Tonight my first batches are mixed with Stixx Mixx.
I have set aside a little Black Note so that I have a basis for comparison.
That's funny about the Yoo Hoo. I haven't thought about it for years. My childhood baseball favorite, Yogi Berra, did adverts for it.Tried TFA-VBIC as a single flavor at 4%, mixed 6 weeks ago. It has a bit of peppery taste, any vanilla ice cream recommendations?
Off topic: at 74 I found out I still like Yoo-Hoos.
And, unless I'm confusing them with others, the beauty of Twinkies is that they will never spoil. The Twinkies you hoarded somewhere when you were a kid will still be as good (or you pick your own adjective) today as X years ago. Is that great or what? Wish I'd hoarded a couple just to confirm this. When was the last time you had a Twinkie? I think I haven’t since I was a kid.
Perfect timing. I was just going to say I tried (SSA) ice cream and (SSA) raspberry syrup (first IC and first rasp I have ever tried) I really like it but same thing... the rasp overpowered the IC. (SSA) vanilla IC was out of stock so I then added some vanilla to my tank (a bit too much... it muted the rasp) Next, I'm going to try rasp with cake and bavarian cream (and then add some chocolate to that)I agree about the ssa ice cream. The raspberry I added to mine kind of drowned out the ice cream.
I haven't had twinkie, ding dong or hoho in years but I heard at the county fair they have deep fried twinkies... I'll pass. Some guy did this experiment where he saved one at room temp for years and it never spoiled... that's kinda scary. When was the last time you had a Twinkie? I think I haven’t since I was a kid.
I tried Grack without coolant. Just say no.
Grack with WS-23 at .75% is better but not much.
I'll make a batch of original Grack now.
I'm not a Koolada fan but you don't know until you know.
